The Salty Dog

Used to be a great wee friendly place to visit on Ssturdsy afternoons. However, last time there, the music was very, very loud, resulting in we were unable to hold a conversation even sitting next to each other. Also noticed there were very few people in the place, whereas before it used to be fairly full Won't be back in a hurry

Love this place, everything about it cries out good time, we visit here whenever we are in Dundee and are always made welcome by John the owner and his son Thomas.

The Pullars is a great pub. Very friendly with fab atmosphere.

Great customer service

The owner’s openly hostile views toward Muslims and immigrants make it hard to feel welcome. LGBTQ+ spaces should celebrate inclusivity, but this establishment falls short. Would recommend supporting venues that truly embrace diversity.

Very old pub. Not everyone's cup of tea. Staff and customers Very friendly. Great atmosphere. I would go back.

Great nightlife. Music and a few drinks

A really small bar,moving around can be a bit of a squeeze. Atmosphere is good, can sometimes be a wee bit overkill from the fog machine. The music is good and varied. A few steps up for toilet facilities ( not too good for disabled), but it is is technically 1 bar with a connection to the Pillars bar so you can go out of the salty dog bar and enter pillars bar next door.

Great pint of 80/- , good service and nice atmosphere.
