Comfortable rooms, but the air conditioning wasn't working very well, and the food was definitely lacking.
Definitely the worst hotel we've stayed at in Monterrey. The rooms smelled awful, and the carpet was incredibly dirty. My kids' feet literally turned black from walking barefoot on it; we had to wear shoes all the time because it was like walking on dirt. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable. The air conditioning only made the room damp instead of cooling it. They never had towels. Apparently, they have problems with the laundry staff, but it was a real issue that they never gave us towels, and the ones they did have were old and stained. The staff is friendly but can't resolve anything because they lack the resources. The hotel is very old, and they use overly strong, unpleasant scents in the hallways. The pool wasn't too bad; it had a lot of leaves, but the pump seems to still be working because the water remains clear. However, they don't provide towels. The restaurant is just barely acceptable; the food isn't terrible, but the buffet is extremely limited, and we had to pay extra for other options. It's not expensive, and the staff is friendly. Overall, the facilities are old and run-down, but the most striking issue is the lack of room cleanliness. There are hotels with similar prices that are much better. I would never return.
Poor service
The breakfast buffet was bad; I wouldn't pay for it again. The buffet reception staff were very rude. The room was acceptable but smelled musty, and there were mosquitoes. They gave me towels, but I asked for them and they did. There wasn't a single complimentary bottle of water, not even for the coffee they left for me. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The pool was relatively clean and a good size, which was one of the few things I enjoyed.
Alright
