We had an excellent stay at this ideally located hotel in Waikiki. It's close to the main shopping streets in Waikiki. Bus stops nearby provide easy access to the airport and Pearl Harbor. The rooms are functional and clean. The staff is professional and welcoming.

We stayed at the Surfack in May for four nights for our wedding. We booked the 1 BR penthouse suite for 2 nights, then a regular room for another 2 nights. Everything was fabulous! Both rooms were very comfortable, clean, and spacious, especially the penthouse suite, which allowed us to host about 20 people on the veranda comfortably. The hotel itself was also awesome! It was only a few blocks from the beach and it was conveniently located a few doors down from an ABC store. Plus, they had a coffee shop inside with the best tasting coffee and the nicest staff (Thanks, Eden!) The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. The pool was such a great place to relax with a drink and they had plenty of chairs and areas. I have to give a specially shout-out to one of the front desk clerks, Shep. He was always so friendly in every communication online and in-person. He responded to my emails quickly and was such a calming presence, especially when I sent him a panicky email because I couldn't find the confirmation email for my penthouse suite. He always had a smile on his face. Thank you, Shep, for a wonderful stay! I told him there were would be several parties booking a room for our wedding. He encouraged them all to book early since it was graduation season and the start of summer. There were 13 of our friends/family that booked a room with the Surfjack and I know they were all happy with their rooms, the rate they received and the communication with Shep. We had our "reception dinner" at Mahina & Suns, which is inside the Surfjack. I chose this restaurant because I had eaten there previously and everything I meal I've had before had been so delicious. I wanted a spacious restaurant where we would be provided with great service and we wouldn't have to compete with the large groups that were in town for graduation. Lisa, the restaurant manager, was great at communicating and helping me pick out the perfect menu for our 29 guests (pork lau lau, mahina bowl, rustic meatballs, ceviche, fried pickles, chicken milanese, pork lumpia, margherita pizza, green goddess salad). Everyone really enjoyed the food and were excited to take home left-overs. Lisa was so friendly and accommodating and had great suggestions. She was patient with me when I kept changing my mind for the dishes we wanted. She understood that, even though it was a post-wedding dinner, it wasn't a traditional reception dinner....we weren't doing toasts, first dances, cake cutting, etc....we just wanted to eat dinner together. She took the time to meet with me in person and show me the area she reserved in the back of the restaurant for our group and it was perfect. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and the service (thank you, Alison) was awesome. Thank you again, Lisa! You and your staff were excellent! Overall, would highly recommend the Surfjack!

Very good location, close to all the restaurants. About 10 mins Walk to Waikiki beach. ABC store and bus stop right at the corner. Boutique style hotel. Pool, coffee shop and restaurant are right at the lobby. They have filtered water in the lobby as well which was really nice as water bottles around can get so expensive. So bring water bottle and refill here. Rooms are decent in size. But showers don't get hot at all! And always have sewage smell. Parking is really expensive here $40 a night and at another area not inside the hotel. I think its 3 blocks away. And unfortunately The staff/housekeeper here was not honest or trustworthy. It is not safe to leave your belongings in your room here. We left a valuable item in our room, thinking it would be safe, but when we returned, we noticed the room had been cleaned and the item was missing. It was stolen within five hours of us leaving the hotel room to get food. We immediately called and reported the issue. After constant complaints and repeated requests to speak with management, they returned the item the next day. However, they claimed they had found it somewhere else in the hotel — a place we did not even have access to before the incident. Very unfortunate experience. We had not even been checked in for 24 hours before dealing with this situation.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the SurfJack hotel for a weekend mini vacation and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The balcony in our room provided a lovely spot to relax in the mornings and evenings, while the adults-only pool area offered a tranquil retreat. The front desk staff were consistently courteous and helpful during our stay. We also appreciated the reasonably priced parking option at $25 per day, located in a nearby garage two blocks away. The hotel's proximity to the main strip allowed us to easily explore local restaurants, shops, and activities, including renting scooters to conveniently navigate the area. This Boutique Hotel is definitely a Waikiki gem

The best boutique hotel in Waikiki! We love that it’s tucked away from the busy streets and main avenues of Waikiki, but also in close proximity to the beach and popular malls. Service staff were all cheerful and ready to help. Rooms were clean, dimmable lights, lots of closet space, big corner terrace (2 queen room), firm mattress, daily room service, great water pressure from the shower, and we love that it’s surrounded by residential apartments and it’s quiet in the evening. They always have special events daily. Free use of their chic tote bag for your Waikiki shopping or extra bag for the beach. There’s also a free voucher to their restaurant if you booked directly from their website. Cheapest daily parking rate in Waikiki ($39+/day as of Apr’26) two blocks away at Hyatt Centric garage. There’s ABC store nearby for your supplies. Great cafe by the lobby (Arvo). Nice pool area! Perfect to enjoy your cocktails or just reading your favourite book. You could also store your luggage in the reception if your flight is in the evening.

Lovely hotel nice staff and good rooms and location

My cruise trip ended in Honolulu a couple days ago. My wife and I then decided to stay a few more days in Hawaii before heading home. Surfjack hotel & Swim Club was not my travel agent's recommended choice but rather my own decision. Up to now, I don't regret to my choice. It is not a high-end one like the big name. It is a small to medium sized hotel but centrally located in theßssß tourist hot spot disrict, which is easy reach of everything by walking or public transport, even the famous Waikiki beach is ONLY less than 10 minutes walk. The hotel itself is not new and the door lock needs some upgrading. To my extreme excitement, the room assigned to me is huge, tidy and clean. It offers two double bedrooms with good sized lounge and toilet. Also it comes with two balconies. The room rate is reasonable.... Rendering value for the money paid. Staff are nice and friendly. It is also a pet friendly hotel. I should not comment on the food because my wife and I have all our meals outside the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotels.
