⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an incredible experience at the event hosted by II Waavy Barber Lounge. This wasn’t just a regular barber event, it was a whole vibe and networking experience brought together through culture, conversation, grooming, and connection. The concept of blending fresh cuts, cocktails, music, and meaningful connections in one space was honestly refreshing. You could feel the vision behind it the moment you walked in. It created an atmosphere where people could relax, meet others, build relationships, and enjoy a high-quality experience all in one place. Big shoutout to the owner for bringing something different to the community and creating a space that feels modern, welcoming, and intentional. The pillows in the room were super soft , like extremely soft. They didn’t have firm pillows and i couldn’t have a good rest. The bathroom door were missing the handle . They charge for absolutely everything.

From the moment we checked in, General Manager Ed Sheets was already going the extra mile, paying close attention to our prepaid breakfast coupons. The next morning, I understood why: Ed was in the kitchen himself, filling in as chef because he is a chef as well. The breakfast was outstanding, the kind of quality you’d expect from a five-star property, not a typical included breakfast at a hotel. So good, in fact, that we returned for dinner. Ed is one of those rare leaders who teaches excellence by example, and it shows across his team. The hotel is spotless and exceptionally well run. The food drew us in, and staying right in our hotel made it even better. Cecil took great care of us at dinner, and Mindy tracked down exactly what I needed for my 4:30 AM coffee. A genuinely excellent stay from top to bottom.

I wound up at the Cambria after another hotel in town overbooked and could not honor my reservation. The staff was great - they understood that I (and several others in the same boat) were frustrated and tired, and they were kind, patient, and accommodating. The room was spacious, modern, clean, and did not have any carpeting, which I like from a sanitation standpoint but does mean I could hear the child in the room next door because there was nothing to absorb the sound. It wasn’t a huge problem, though. The bathroom was updated and had good storage and counter space. Overall, while it could use a little TLC (no major issues, just some visible wear and tear), I’ve got no complaints. Probably not a 4-star hotel in a major city, but a good option for New Haven. It’s about a half-mile walk to downtown, but easy garage self-parking on site. I did not eat at the hotel, but there was what appeared to be a full service restaurant and bar in the lobby, as well as a little sundry with some sodas, snacks, beer, and wine for purchase.
