Everrything was great at the hotel except the check in experience. Arrived at 10:30 am and room wasn't ready until 4:15. No favor for me.

Lovely old style hotel in the heart of New Orleans. We were treated to a beautiful sunrise each day over the Mississippi River. Room was a bit on the small side but was ideal for us as a couple. All the staff members we interacted with were very helpful. This hotel is the best location for exploring all that the city has to offer. From here we were able to walk all over the place. Spent a lovely evening Frenchman Street listening to the jazz. Hotel has a great rooftop pool which was an ideal spot to cool down in the afternoons.

Came over for the afternoon to use the pool as the Royal Sonesta one was under construction (again) and Khiya made our day. Her smile and chatter made our day and we will definitely be staying here in the future! 10/10 recommend!

Great weekend in Nola experiencing history and Purple Dranks!!! Music and luxury, and great food. We love Nola when it’s not hot.

Fantastic experience. The staff is amazing. Rooms are a little small but beautiful. We were there for a conference and I highly recommend hosting an event here- it ran smoothly and the team is great!

The hotel has the old world charm, yet is very well kept and well run. However the rooms and bathrooms are very small. I went during a conference, and paid a high price, and I felt it was really not worth how much it was charged. The TV service is not up to date either.

Terrible room service my cheese tray was room temperature with stale crackers . Pool was dirty on the bottom of the sides . No chance ever to sit at the bar , first come first serve which includes the public guest canny reserve a seat at the bar.

Went to this hotel for a quick, three-night dip into New Orleans culture. I’ve been to New Orleans multiple times, Hotel Monteleone is my favorite. This was probably my third or fourth stay here. At check in we were offered a very reasonable ($55 per night) upgrade to their new section. Room is white, clean, modern, about the same size as their older rooms. One problem was the European half-door glass shower door that allows the water to flood the bathroom floor. No big deal but don’t then blow dry your hair in there. The real problem is the motion detector sensor on the ceiling in the bedroom. It has a blue light that flashes at every movement, like rolling over in bed or even moving your arm. Very disruptive for restless and light sleepers. We tried to call the front desk the next morning, couldn’t reach them so called concierge. They knew exactly what we were talking about, and sent maintenance up to cover the light with white tape. It did not work, light still shone through. It was explained it was for air conditioning, I guess if no one is in the room, the thermostat turns off? Why not use those card holders by the door like many European hotels have? I would have asked for a “downgrade” to the older rooms, but I didn’t want to pack up all my stuff for just one more night after the tape fix failed. I found the flashing light very disruptive as I am a light sleeper. I would definitely NOT recommend the new rooms for people like me. I will certainly be back, love the “old” rooms like the one my son had. Just beware of the unintentional disco lights in the new section.

A beautiful hotel with comfortable and quiet rooms. Conveniently located to many French Quarter restaurants and attractions.
