Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel

The room view was good. But hotel doesn’t have free parking and when you walk to the floor smell like weed. That’s really annoying.

Been staying here on and off for 20 years. Love the location and still like the hotel but it definitely needs a remodel.

Sheraton Waterside Hotel is a crook! We stayed the night of 5/23 under a 'stay and cruise' package where we were supposed to only be charged $15/night to park our car while we went on a 6-day cruise. When we returned from the cruise, my husband was charged $257.62 to get our car out of the garage. When I got home, I noticed a charge on my hotel invoice that said 'Front Desk Store' for $127.20 with no explanation of what it was for. I have contacted them over their required 'portal' at least 4 times and they still haven't responded to me to explain what the charge was. I assume it was for the parking, but even so, it's the incorrect amount (should have been $105). My husband has disputed the charge with his credit card, so hopefully it will get resolved. I understand that mistakes happen, and normally I wouldn't blast a business like this on Google, but their unwillingness to even respond to me under THEIR own preferred process leaves me no other option but to do this to hopefully get a response. The sad thing is that our stay there was absolutely wonderful. Staff was friendly, room was clean, location was perfect. When we checked out, I told my family that we were cruising with that I would stay there again in a heartbeat...that has all changed with the way they have handled this issue. Please get back to me and help us resolve this billing issue.

Would have been 5 but room had broken toilet seat , some fasteners loose. Reported to front desk but nobody came to fix. Had to pay high dog fee, $150. Tried to cash a $20 but front desk had no change. Wanted to talk to manager but front desk said they don’t come on to 10:00am. Otherwise walking distance to down town, right on the water front. Walk to Navy Museum, see BB 64 Wisconsin.

Excellent staff. Excellent customer service.

I paid for one day of valet services and the rest of the trip was in a parking garage next to Sheraton. Yet I was charged for 6 days of valet!!! $210. When you arrive they have you pay $200 for any possible charges for valet, or other services. I had no additional charges to the room or any other services they provide.

I don't typically write reviews but think that my experience warrants one. After paying over $200 for a single night here (an exorbitant price for the area - the GSA is $110), I was disturbed upon checking into my room to find a half-drunk water bottle, some else's room keys strewn about, and wet towels in the bathroom. The desk staff weren't particularly helpful as I checked out the next morning. I hope that they either decrease costs to align the quality they provide, or improve rooms and service accordingly.
