Richmond Pride — ежегодный ЛГБТК+-фестиваль на Brown's Island и набережной центра: декорации используют индустриальную географию реки Джеймс, с canal walk, гидроэлектростанцией и историческим мостом Mayo Bridge, создавая одну из самых характерных фестивальных сред Восточного побережья. Событие собирает около 20 000 человек каждый октябрь на уикенд выступлений, общественной программы и празднования города, чьё ЛГБТК+-сообщество выросло в видимости и уверенности вместе с трансформацией самовосприятия Ричмонда. Октябрьские сроки используют красивую осеннюю погоду реки и ставят Richmond Pride в число последних крупных ЛГБТК+-событий сезона. Brown's Island — плоский речной остров, доступный по пешеходному мосту, — обеспечивает естественную замкнутую фестивальную площадку. Richmond Pride стабильно рос в последние годы по мере развития прогрессивной культуры города и убирания конфедератских памятников, сигнализирующего новую главу в отношениях Ричмонда с собственной историей.
