Buenos Aires is known as one of the main queer-friendly cities in Latin America. However, amidst so much partying, activity, and encounters, there are still spaces exclusively for lesbians.
In a context where community is needed more than ever, I propose an opportunity to put down your phones, leave home, and connect with other queer women in Buenos Aires. In a book club format, we will read and discuss fragments of texts significant to the sapphic community.
“Buenos Aires Lésbico” will be a series of three meetings to comment, debate, and explore the themes that arise in each reading. You don't need to be a literary critic or an academic expert to participate; the idea is to get to know each other through stories and texts that resonate with us, and to build bridges to create a community as strong as it is diverse.
Meeting details:
– Duration of 2 hours
– Ticket price: $19,000 (includes reading guide and access to participants' WhatsApp group) – If you pay for all 4 meetings, you get a 10% discount
– The ticket does not include drinks at the venue
