About the event

Legendarias Argentinas- Book Club Queer. Curation and Coordination: Peter Pank
This is a whimsical journey through the Argentine voices that preceded us, of those who put the experiences of the LGBTIQ+ collective into poems, stories, and novels, when it couldn't be spoken about. The pioneers, those who put art and body into Argentina, before 2010 when the Equal Marriage Law was passed and 2012 with the Gender Identity Law.
“Legendarias Argentinas” is a Reading Club where we can read, listen, participate, comment, and debate, with others, these texts that defied censorship and spoke their truth. It is not necessary to be an academic, writer, or a great reader to participate; the important thing is that you want to share an informal and relaxed moment, while we get to know texts and authors who, with their art, helped create the foundations of our community.
We will read and debate, among others, Perlongher, Oscar Hermes Villordo, Miguel Angel Lens, and Urdapilleta.
