Theater: Alegres corderos at Ítaca Complejo Teatral

Written and directed by Fernando De Candia, with co-direction by Tomás Núñez, Alegres corderos is an immersive and audiovisual theatrical experience: the proposal turns the spectator into a neighbor of a fictional town where the water is contaminated and the truth is constructed live. The audience participates in an open neighborhood meeting and shares the space with the cast as the debate unfolds.

This immersion is complemented by a scenic device with a strong audiovisual imprint: transmissions, cameras recording the public space, and projections that reorder or distort the events on the fly.

Inspired by Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, the play transfers that conflict to Punta de Agua, a fictional town in northwestern Argentina whose economy depends on a mine and a thermal spa complex. When Dr. Sergio Sanguinetti discovers that the water is contaminated, his health warning becomes a threat to political power, economic interests, and the media that protect the town's "progress".
