100% Diversidad y Derechos is among the most significant LGBTQ+ civil society organisations in Argentina — a Buenos Aires-based NGO with a national mandate that has been at the centre of Argentina's extraordinary sequence of LGBTQ+ legal reforms over the past two decades. The organisation participated in the campaign for the 2010 Marriage Equality Law, contributed to the legislative process for the 2012 Gender Identity Law, and has been active in subsequent campaigns including the 2021 Trans Labor Quota Law. The work of 100% Diversidad y Derechos is primarily legal and political advocacy: engaging with the legislature, the judiciary, and the executive on LGBTQ+ rights issues; providing legal support to individuals facing discrimination; and contributing to the policy debates that have made Argentina a global leader in LGBTQ+ legal protections. The organisation also produces educational and research materials on LGBTQ+ rights, discrimination, and the lived experiences of Argentine LGBTQ+ communities. The Avenida de Mayo office is in Monserrat, close to the Congress building and the Plaza de Mayo — the geographic heart of Argentine political life. For visitors who want to understand the civil society infrastructure that has produced Argentina's legal achievements, a visit or inquiry to 100% Diversidad y Derechos provides the most direct connection to that history.
