This place has the potential to become the ONLY gay club in La Paz, especially now that Open Mind has basically turned into a straight club. However, it already seems to be following the same patterns as its predecessors. We arrived late on a Saturday as a group of five guys. In front of us, there was a group of three girls who asked about the entrance fee—clearly first-timers. After a brief moment, they were invited in for free. I thought, “Great, they’ll probably let us in for free too since it’s already late”. But no. When it was our turn, we were asked to pay the full entrance fee. Three of our friends decided to leave, which made total sense. A friend and I still went in to check the place out, and here’s what we found: 1. The floor isn’t wet like in Open Club, and the bathroom is decent—though there’s no soap. 2. The music is just okay—not good enough to make us want to stay. 3. Go-go dancers. Again. 🤦The same ones as in the other club. Clearly straight, and just as uninterested in the gay crowd. 4. Prices are cheap IF you’re a foreigner, but for locals—especially considering the location—they’re way too high. 5. The place was nearly empty, and honestly, it’s clear why. My prediction? This place will either go bankrupt and shut down or learn from its mistakes—which means: better music, reasonable prices or actual promos for GAY people (not just straight women), and most importantly, a real identity of its own.
