Bar Beirute

Bar Beirute is a Brasília institution — an Arab restaurant and open-air bar on the CLS 109 Sul block, serving kibe, chopp and petiscos since 1966. Families and office workers fill it by day, but by night it becomes one of the capital's most famously mixed, bohemian and queer-friendly hangouts. It carries real LGBTQ+ history: the block was the site of a 1979 'beijaço' (kiss-in) protest, an early milestone of Brazil's gay-rights movement. It is a gay-friendly landmark rather than a dedicated gay bar, and a reliable, welcoming spot for a relaxed evening.
