About this place Paris Plage Recife
Paris Plage is a beachfront barraca (kiosk-bar) on Avenida Boa Viagem, Recife's main city beach. It serves cold beer and petiscos (snacks) facing the sea and has long been known as a gathering point for a gay and queer crowd, especially on Sunday afternoons. Its section of beach is near Postos 9 and 10.
It is a daytime spot, not a club. Boa Viagem has a shark-warning zone, so swim only where the signs and locals say it is safe. Keep valuables to a minimum on the beach.
