Transforma Pride
About This Event
Transforma Pride is Recife's LGBTQ+ culture and entrepreneurship festival — and it bills itself as the biggest LGBTQIA+ festival in Brazil's Northeast, with ambitions to be the biggest in the country. It is a free two-day event, usually in late September, staged at the Cais do Sertão cultural centre in the historic Recife Antigo district.
Despite the name, it is not a march: it is a festival of music shows, an LGBTQIA+ business and entrepreneurship fair with a hundred-plus exhibitors, workshops and talks — a deliberately intersectional programme, heavily Black and queer, with big-name Brazilian headliners. It is run by Aquaius MKT.
The 2026 dates are announced closer to the time; check the organiser's channels.
Practical notes: Recife Antigo is the atmospheric old port district, walkable and full of culture. September in Recife is warm and humid. The festival is free; follow @transformapride for the 2026 line-up and dates.

Practical Tips
Pair the fair by day with the music festival by night — both take over Recife Antigo, so book a hotel walkable to the old city.
