About this place Up Turn

Up Turn has been one of Rio's LGBTQIAPN+ clubs since 2003. In 2026 it left Barra da Tijuca for a new address at Rua Sacadura Cabral 147, in the port district, a short walk from The Home. It runs open-bar nights and karaoke, and it is the base of Hole, a fetish-leaning party with a strict no-filming rule that marked its 11th anniversary in 2026. Google reviewers rate it 4.2. Event dates and prices are on Tá Sendo and the club's Instagram.

I went to the city center and the atmosphere is great, very well laid out and with an open section. The difference was that I lost my wallet and the staff managed to find me on Instagram to return it to me. Seriously, I was very surprised by how everything was handled and by so much care. A thank you to Debora who was super helpful and who helped me recover my wallet.
