Mantu hotel

The location is the main selling point; it's well worth it, close to everything, less than a 5-minute walk from the train station or to catch the bus to Machu Picchu. Otherwise, it's okay considering the price-quality ratio; the service is good, the breakfast is decent, the Wi-Fi isn't great but it meets the needs. One thing to note is that there's no elevator, but in our case, it didn't cause any problems.

The service was decent; someone would pick you up from the train station and take you to the hotel. However, the hotel's hot water was insufficient. The first two people in our group of three had hot water when they showered, but the third person's hot water stopped working. We couldn't find anyone at the front desk to handle the issue that night. When we contacted the front desk the next day, they seemed aware of the problem but just gave a perfunctory answer, saying they would check if there was a problem with the hot water. If you're planning to check in, be careful of situations where the hot water stops working halfway through your shower and you can't find anyone to help.

Excellent hotel. Very well located and the staff are very helpful, they took me to where I could buy the bus to go up to Machu Picchu and gave me recommendations for places to eat as well. Breakfast is also included.

The hotel has a fantastic location. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was ample and good. The MP ticket office and bus station are just a short walk away. Everything is easily accessible. Unfortunately, breakfast/packed lunch couldn't be prepared on our departure day because it was too early. Breakfast is served from 5:00 AM, but we needed it at 4:50 AM.

It's a great value for money place for a short stay! The location is fantastic. It's close to the train station and a three-minute walk from the Machu Picchu bus stop. There's also a market right next door. They even picked me up when I got off the train, so I didn't have to wander around tired. The breakfast was delicious: yogurt, bread, eggs, and coffee!

It's a simple hotel, but perfect for spending the night before visiting Machu Picchu. The staff is very friendly, they offer a good breakfast, and the room is simple, clean, and has excellent Wi-Fi. The train station and buses for visiting Machu Picchu are nearby. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. They were very kind and stored our luggage after we checked out.

This ain't a Marriot hotel or a case andina - and that is just fine This place provides a great place for travelers to lay down without spending a fortune. I love how close they to the ticket offices, the train station and the bus pickup The breakfast is great and the staff is super friendly I was able to come back after machu Pichu and take a shower for 30 soles. Which was amazing since it was last checkout time Two things to be aware of Some of the rooms have a window that faces the inside hallway (windows have curtains) - luckily the hotel turns off hallway lights at 11. Rooms have a fan but no air-conditioning which might be tough on the hot season Bathroom is good but not great For what you are paying the rate is great. Just don't go in expecting an over the top hotel room Oh yeah - they will store your bag while you are at machu Pichu

The location is good, be careful with the showers if the controls are 1mm too far it will burn you like lava, 1mm the other way and it's ice cold, bed is not comfortable, pillows smelt funny and we think we might have got bitten by bugs from the gross blanket. We thought the lady who worked there was nice and let us check out a little late but then when we went to leave, they tried to charge us an extra US$30 (almost another whole nights stay) even thought the hotel was almost completely empty. This started a bit of an argument obviously and when you don't know the country or if the police will be corrupt, that's pretty freaky. Not a good experience, would NEVER stay again.

The location is fantastic because it's always conveniently located and just steps from the bus stop for the bus up to Machu Picchu. The room was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay the day before visiting the sanctuary.

Great hotel for our situation in Aguas Calientes. Clean hotel and great location. They have a portable heater for when it’s cold and the bathroom has ventilation. Hot shower as well. It has a cafe attached to it which is another convenience to us since we were exhausted from the train ride. Above all the service from the staff was excellent. They went above and beyond. They also gave us breakfast to go at 5am due to our 7am appointment at Machu Picchu. Great experience overall.
