About this place ValeTodo DownTown

ValeTodo DownTown is a well-established gay bar and club in Lima's Cercado district, known for drawing a lively crowd of locals and visitors alike. The venue offers a fun atmosphere centered around live entertainment and dancing, with regular drag performances that are a highlight of the night. If you're looking for a dedicated LGBTQ+ space to enjoy nightlife in Lima, this is a venue worth checking out. What makes this spot distinctive is its dual dance floor setup, allowing you to move between different musical vibes depending on your mood. One area features Latino pop, perfect if you want to dance to familiar regional hits and current chart-toppers. The other dance floor focuses on techno house for those seeking a more electronic, high-energy experience. This layout means there's something for different tastes under one roof, whether you're in the mood for Latin rhythms or pulsing beats. The venue operates Friday and Saturday evenings, staying open until 3am, making it a solid option for a night out during the weekend. It's located at Pasaje Los Pinos street in the Cercado area, making it accessible for those exploring Lima's nightlife scene. As with any gay venue, it's a great place to meet people, enjoy live entertainment, and experience Lima's LGBTQ+ social scene in a welcoming environment.

A foreigners review: Labelled as a gay club, it feels more like a straight club with a gay pop room. With I think 5 dance floors in total the venue is huge and the decor feels lux, however most other stages are playing Latin music which is filled with straight people and the gay “pop” room is the only gay feeling area that still feels like it’s not quite the vibe you’re after. The drag shows do at least make up for it a little. We arrived at 11:30 pm on a Friday and you pay 30 soles to get in which includes a pre mixed cocktail/beer, security is thorough but the process is pretty efficient and there’s a lot of cashiers to pay for entry. It was busy at some stages but the venue was still “empty” at this time. I would say if you’re curious check it out but don’t expect to stay long or be wow’d.

It used to be a regular spot, but these last two years it's lost its charm, at least in my opinion. The music in the general admission area is the same as it was years ago, and they play the same thing every night. The other area of La Tiendita used to be a good option because they played all kinds of music, but they changed DJs, and if you want to listen to chicha and cumbia all night, well, that's for you, and the rest of the areas are just TikTok zones. On another note, and just as importantly, they used to give you a drink that they made fresh for you, but now it comes in buckets, and the other options... well, you can't judge complimentary drinks, but at least they didn't come in buckets.
