About the event

At 13 years old, Mauro Lionel Malca Peñaranda has become a young promise of contemporary classical music, standing out as a polystylistic composer and orchestra conductor. Possessing absolute pitch and author of over 220 original works, he has developed a musical proposal that ranges from the grand forms of classical music to rhapsodies inspired by Peruvian culture and experimentation with new sound languages.
This Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the historic Teatro Principal Manuel A. Segura, Mauro Lionel will offer a very special event: "Symphonic Concert - Classics & Award-Winners Only," conceived to share with the audience some of the works that represent the most significant of his artistic career, including several pieces with which he has received recognition in important international competitions.
Among the award-winning works is his Symphony SINFOSLOW and three rhapsodies: the one from the Beginning of the Tahuantinsuyo, the one from the Fall of the Tahuantinsuyo, and the one from the Cachanga, in which he musically explores different expressions of Peruvian identity and history.
More than a concert, it will be an invitation to share his musical world and delight the audience with the works that now arrive on the stage of the Teatro Segura.
And this presentation will have an even more special meaning: it will be a benefit concert in support of Fundación Lima.
