About the event

Two cousins return to their village house after years. There are documents to find, a patron saint's festival that is no longer the same, and a name that has always been there, uncomfortable, unresolved: Santiago.
At 17 years old, Santiago was arrested and disappeared during the Peruvian internal armed conflict. Decades later, his story remains alive in the dreams of those who didn't know him, in the silence of those who did, and in that house that held everything the family didn't know how to carry.
"Santiago" or How to Forget Someone is a play about inherited memory, grief that had no funeral, and the questions a generation unintentionally leaves to the next. An intimate story about what it means to belong to a family marked by something no one chose and yet everyone carries.
