Last verified: November 2026. The honest summary: Seville has a small, real gay scene that fits inside a 15-minute walk around the Alameda de Hércules. There's one proper gay dance club, one late drag bar, a handful of café-bars, two saunas and two cruise clubs. It isn't Madrid or Torremolinos, and you come here for the city first. The nights are good, but don't expect a big gay club.
Legal in one line: same-sex marriage since 2005 (Ley 13/2005), an Andalusian LGBTI law since 2017 (Ley 8/2017), and gender self-determination since 2023 (Ley 4/2023). Spain is among the safest countries in the world for LGBTQ+ travellers.
Where the scene is
The centre is the Alameda de Hércules, a long tree-lined square with Roman columns at one end, and the short streets at its southern end: Calle Arias Montano, Calle Amor de Dios, Calle Trajano and Jesús del Gran Poder. EuropeNightlife and Visita Sevilla both point here, and EuropeNightlife rightly stresses that it's a mixed area, not a sealed gay strip. Older guides put the gay district in Santa Cruz or Alfalfa. We found no current source that does. Santa Cruz is a beautiful place to sleep, about 20 minutes' walk south of the bars.
Gay bars and clubs
- Itaca, Calle Amor de Dios 31: the city's main gay club, with a dance floor, dark room and drag. Listings disagree on weeknights, so go at the weekend.
- Pride B4R, Calle Trajano 38: the former Men to Men, a late bar and small disco. It bills itself as open 365 days, with shows from Thursday to Saturday.
- El Bosque Animado and Flamingo Bar, Calle Arias Montano: gay café-bars for the start of the evening. El Barón Rampante is next door and LGBT-friendly rather than strictly gay.
- Dilema, Alameda 80: a queer-leaning terrace bar from 13:00.
- Gay-friendly and mixed: 1987 Bar, Alameda Ritual Club, Holiday by Óbbio and Mentiroso.
- Orgullo in Seville: late June. The 2026 march left the Diputación at 19:30 on Saturday 27 June and ended on the Alameda about 22:00. The 2027 dates haven't been officially announced; GayTravel4U expects 24 to 27 June. Fundación Triángulo and the city council publicly disagreed over who runs the march in 2026, so check the Plataforma Orgullo LGBTI de Andalucía as well as council listings.
- Andalesgai, the queer film festival: 5 to 14 March 2027, according to its submissions call.
- International Leather & Boots Sevillian Meeting: GayTravel4U says it's typically in mid-January, with 2027 dates not announced at the time of writing.
- Sissypop, a gay pop party at Itaca: listings disagree on how often it runs, so check @sissypopsevilla.
- IGLTA Global Convention: 17 to 21 November 2026 at FIBES. It's a travel-industry event, not a public party.
- Airport: SVQ is about 9 km out. The EA bus costs €6 single or €8 return (Sevilla Secreta, January 2026), runs every 15 minutes or so, and ends at Plaza de Armas.
- Train: Santa Justa to Madrid by AVE takes about 2h40.
- Testing: Adhara offers free rapid HIV, syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia tests by appointment at Calle Luis Montoto 48.
- Beach: there's no gay beach near Seville. Cuesta Maneli, a naturist beach in Huelva province, is the nearest with a gay following, about 100 km away.
- Men to Men is now Pride B4R, same site.
- Sauna Nordik (Resolana) is listed as closed by Travel Gay.
- LUX shows as temporarily closed on Travel Gay, and we couldn't confirm 2026 editions. Nor could we confirm Gold Sevilla on Avenida de Torneo.
- Bohemia Bar and Jewel on Amor de Dios still appear in older guides. Misterb&b flags Bohemia as closed and neither is on GayTravel4U's October 2026 list, so we don't list them.
- Bar de ambiente: gay bar. "Ambiente" is the local word for the scene.
- ¿A qué hora se llena?: what time does it fill up?
- Copa: a mixed drink, usually large and usually the main order.
- Orgullo: Pride.
Our Seville bars guide has hours and sources. Very little happens before midnight.

Saunas and cruise clubs
The Cube Urban is the modern one, men-only and open round the clock from Friday to Sunday. Sauna Hispalis is the long-running one near Santa Justa station. El Bunker and The Boyz are men-only cruise clubs rather than saunas. See the saunas guide and cruising guide. Outdoor spots appear in Spanish guides, but we don't publish directions to them, and a stabbing near one of them was reported in June 2026.
Where to stay
Banana Gay House on Calle Rosario is the only men-only guesthouse. Hotel Sacristía de Santa Ana is on the Alameda itself, Doña Lola is a budget option on Amor de Dios and Soho Boutique Sevilla is the best-rated hotel within ten minutes of the bars. The hotels guide has walking times.

Pride and events
We couldn't confirm a 2026 edition of the GuadalkiBear bear weekend, and we found no dedicated lesbian bar or regular lesbian party. That may be a gap in what's published online, so ask DeFrente or Fundación Triángulo.
Semana Santa, the Feria and the heat
Semana Santa runs from 21 to 28 March 2027 and the Feria de Abril from 12 to 18 April 2027 (Sevilla Secreta; the council hadn't confirmed the Feria dates in that report). Hotels get expensive and scarce for both, and processions block old-town streets. Most Feria casetas are private. We found no reliable source on how these weeks change gay nightlife, so check with venues. In July 2026 prosecutors sought prison terms for five men over a homophobic attack on a couple at the 2024 Feria, so take care on the fairground late at night. July and August regularly pass 40°C, and spring and autumn are far more comfortable.

FAQ
Where is the gay area in Seville?
Around the Alameda de Hércules and the streets at its southern end, especially Calle Arias Montano, Amor de Dios and Trajano. It's mixed, not a separate gay district.

Is Seville gay-friendly?
Yes. Spain's legal protections are strong and the Alameda is relaxed about same-sex couples. Some outer neighbourhoods are more conservative, and attacks do occasionally happen, as anywhere.
When is Seville Pride 2027?
It hasn't been officially announced. It's normally the last week of June, and GayTravel4U expects 24 to 27 June.

How many gay saunas does Seville have?
Two: The Cube Urban and Sauna Hispalis. El Bunker and The Boyz are cruise clubs, not saunas.
Is there a lesbian bar in Seville?
We couldn't find a dedicated one in any current source. Queer-leaning places like Dilema are a good start, and local associations can tell you about events.

What's the best time to go?
Spring or autumn for the weather, and late June if you want Pride and can handle the heat.
