About the venue
Mattie's took over the former Rocco's at 8900 Santa Monica Boulevard, on the corner of San Vicente, and opened in May 2026. The owner says it remains a gay establishment. It works as a restaurant and bar that becomes a club later in the evening, with DJs, drag shows and a weekend drag brunch…
“Not having been to WeHo for almost 20 years, work brought me back to the LA area. I stopped by on a random Tuesday night, my only open night with work events, had a great meal at Mattie’s, the staff was friendly, food great, and the location cannot be beat.” — Kurt Paradise, Google
“The best vegan burger ive ever had, cheap & strong drinks, & our server was HOT” — Anthony Curl, Google
