Chon Saan Palace Hotel

Food was delicious! We were directed here by our local guides. We ordered family style, Fried Chicken, Wontons, Wonton Noodle Soup in Hong Kong Style, Sweet and Sour Pork and Streak Tenderloin. We were a group of 8, and service was great! We felt like family by the time we left!

Chon Saan Palace served the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Every dish was excellent, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and the service was warm and welcoming. You can tell this place takes real pride in their food. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.

2/11/2026: Popped in for a quick dinner. Nice staff. Menu is extensive and affordable. We were very satisfied with our meal. Ordered fried calamari, Canton Chow Mein, and fried chicken and fried lobster dinner.

This restaurant came highly recommended by both our hotel and taxi driver, and it did not disappoint. The food was very good, reasonably priced, and attractively presented. While the décor is a bit dated, the atmosphere remained pleasant and comfortable. It can get quite busy at times, likely due to the fact that they also do take-away and delivery. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

I tried it my first night at my hotel because it's next door. I entered the dining room and it looked run down so I decided to take the food out to my hotel to eat in a comfortable atmosphere. The dining room was full of employees sitting around doing nothing which I imagine they were servers. I ordered the food and told the man no sauces on the steak just plain steak with nothing on it. I was surprised when I get to my hotel to see that there were two kinds of sauces on the steak that I had to scrape off because I have serious dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the sauce had already sunken into the meat and it had some hot spicy flavour in the meat and I don't eat spicy food which is why I asked for no sauces. I don't know how someone could mess up a simple request like, No sauces on the meat. While I was waiting for my order, which take out orders are taken from the sidewalk through an open door, some creepy man came around asking some of the customers something. I think he was begging for money or food or maybe offering to sell drugs I don't know. No one from the restaurant came out to deal with him to chase him off so I went inside the door to get the man to tell him that somebody is out there bothering your customers.

Best Chinese food in Belize City. Extensive menu, delicious food, large portions, excellent attentive service.
