One South Place

Stayed here back in 2022 for a work trip. It was a wonderful experience, the owners were very nice people. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay in Belize City, I can't recommend One South Place highly enough. Dave and Judy are absolutely fantastic—kind, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. I arrived without a reservation, and they not only found me one of their beautiful, comfortable rooms, but also went out of their way to help with several other vacation needs. Their willingness to help made my trip so much easier and far more enjoyable. The accommodations were excellent, and the level of personal service truly sets One South Place apart. It's rare to find hosts who care so much about making their guests feel at home. It goes without saying that I'll be back. One South Place will be my first choice and the centerpiece of every future stay in Belize City. Thank you, Dave and Judy, for making my visit such a memorable one!

We arrived by motorcycle in a very hot day and we were welcomed by Lincoln....he made us welcome and gave us a room in no time and also let us parked our motorcycle inside in a safe place....he gave us all the info on the area....the room was nice and cool and very clean and comfortable....the morning after we had the chance to meet the owners and the rest of the staff all very nice and welcoming....we were off to the island for a few days and the owners told us to leave the bike in there free of charge.....walking distance from everything highly recommended.....10 out of 10....

When I arrived at the hotel, they said that they were fully booked and walked me two blocks down to another hotel and said my room was there --- it was totally creepy. The other hotel had no other guests and the rooms were absolutely subpar quality-wierd locks and bathroom doors that were flimsy and tiny windows. I walked back to One South Place and insisted they give me the room I booked -- which, magically appeared as available. Once I was in my room, I had a great stay. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed the balcony to the room. But the whole kurfuffle with the check-in process was unpleasant and really freaked me out. Hopefully my experience was a one-off, but it really left me with some questions.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at One South Place. The location is fantastic, just a short and easy 10 minute walk to the water taxi and very close to the waterfront, which made getting around Belize City really convenient. Our room was very well kept, clean, and comfortable, and you can tell the space is thoughtfully maintained. One of our favorite parts was the beautiful outdoor patio area. It was the perfect place to sit, listen to the water, and hear the birds singing, which made the stay feel peaceful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Everything felt easy, relaxed, and well cared for during our stay. I would definitely stay here again anytime I’m in Belize City and would happily recommend it to my friends and family.

This the a really nice little breakfast location if you want something kinda off the beaten path. Food was good, attendant was very nice to us.
