Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa

We stayed at Langdon Hall for our mini honeymoon after our wedding and were shocked to receive an email accusing us of taking a hair dryer and charging our credit card $620 plus tax. The problem? The hair dryer was already missing during our stay, and we reported it to the front desk ourselves because I couldn’t do my hair for two days. Instead of checking their records, Langdon Hall chose to accuse a guest who had already reported the issue and charged our card afterward WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. What should have been a special honeymoon experience turned into a stressful and frustrating dispute. Extremely disappointing guest service from a property that claims to be luxury. I have disputed the charge and will be pursuing the matter further. And as a travel content creator I will be posting all about this. Wish we went to ST ANNES instead!!!!!

We stayed at Langdon Hall for a special getaway before the arrival of our baby. The property and food were excellent, and the restaurant team was very accommodating regarding my wife’s pregnancy dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by a billing issue and the lack of follow-up afterward. We booked the Country Night package, yet during dinner there was never any communication that parts of the meal were being upgraded with additional charges. We only discovered afterward that over $300 extra had been charged to our card for premium upgrades we were never informed about or consented to. We respectfully shared detailed feedback by email. Management acknowledged the concern, stated the restaurant leadership team would review it and follow up directly, but after our reply, we never received any response from the restaurant management team again. For a luxury property, transparent billing and proper follow-through on guest concerns should be expected.

Beautiful place. Incredible food. Special occasions are a must for this historic get away.

Dining was fabulous in the Wilks bar. Spirit free drinks were expensive but delicious!

There are so many wonderful service options available, allowing you to truly customize your stay and unwind in your own way. I chose the Aroma De-Stress service, and it was beyond amazing—so calming, soothing, and deeply relaxing. Every detail was perfect, and I left feeling completely refreshed, rebalanced, and renewed. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave. Thank you, Langdon Hall, for creating such a beautiful, serene escape. I already can’t wait to come back again.

Langdon Hall is simply one of the most beautiful properties I've had the privilege of photographing a wedding at. The architecture, the gardens, the light at golden hour — it's a photographer's dream. The team is warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making the day perfect. If you're considering Langdon Hall for your wedding, I can't recommend it highly enough — and I hope to be back with my camera many times over.
