Super 8 by Wyndham Cambridge/Kitchener/Waterloo Area

I stayed at this Super 8 location and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. The front desk staff were nice and helpful, but the rooms themselves have very thin walls, so you can hear pretty much everything around you. The hotel is also currently under renovations, and the noise from the work being done in nearby rooms was very loud and disruptive throughout the stay. Overall, for the price, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room itself was decent, but the cleanliness was average. The bedsheets were okay, not the best. The bathroom definitely needs improvement — the bathtub area and around the toilet seat 🚽were not properly cleaned and could use a complete makeover. However, the front desk staff was very kind and helpful, which made the experience better. The morning breakfast was also good. Overall, considering the price, it can still be an option to stay, but improvements in cleanliness would make a big difference.

Very run down and dirty

Good place to stay for a short visit. The rooms are clean, the location is convenient, and the stay was comfortable overall.

The lady at the front desk her name is Shauna needs to be fired. I would not write a review generally but let me tell you this lady tells me to come early for check in after I called before I arrived she assured me early check in is okay and lots of rooms with two double beds are clean as oppose to rooms with one bed. I booked two beds as Shauna had informed me to do. When I arrived she told me I had to wait 3 hours and she’ said she doesn’t remember talking to me on the phone 30 min ago.. Crickets at this place that day and she’s the only one working because I asked her. I said we just had spoken. She had to be bipolar or hates her job or both. Tells me to Come back 3 hours later but had told me to come half hour ago. As It had been 30 minutes and it’s the same person I spoke to. She proceeded to be rude and walked away: I called head office and was put through on hold to some other Numebr and they did zero about it. I left and said keep my money!. After that I googled this location on 650 hespeler rd Cambridge & saw that two females got stabbed recently and a fire recently as well. Fatal stuff hapoens at this place. Stay the heck away! Glad I lost my money and didn’t stay God had a plan. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I thought I left a review in the past. Recently visited a good motel in Saint John NB and remembered the bedbugs and homeless people in the Super 8. Made me great ful not to experience another homeless shelter.

My senior citizen parents stayed for 4 nights. Room was full of dog hair and the smell of pot was an hourly issue in the hallways that crept into their room. I told them to make a complaint or request a different room but with them being strangers to the city they were afraid to mention any of these issues. My father was there for medical appointments due to heart conditions and felt that making a complaint would put added stress to his situation. They were on the main floor so how did the staff not notice the any going smell of pot? Or housekeeping not notice the mess of dog hair through out the room. I would give a 0 star rating on this facility.
