Maison Des Jardins
Visitors praise the welcoming hosts, beautiful garden, and enjoyable hot tub, with many finding the location convenient and the breakfast delicious. However, some recent reviews indicate a change in management has led to a less personal experience and a self-serve breakfast, which did not meet expectations for a traditional B&B.

Maison Des Jardins is a bed and breakfast in Montreal’s Gay Village, one of Canada's oldest queer neighborhoods.
You'll find it a seven-minute walk from Beaudry Metro Station, which puts you right among the bars, restaurants, and shops. If you're coming for Pride, a quick trip, or a longer stay, this B&B plants you squarely in the middle of things.
Rooms are air-conditioned and come with a flat-screen TV. Some even have a seating area, which is nice after a day of walking around. It’s a bed and breakfast, so it feels more personal than a big hotel, with the kind of hospitality you get from a smaller, independent spot. That makes it good for anyone who wants a friendly, community-minded place to sleep.
Montreal's Gay Village is pretty open and has plenty of places to eat and drink. Staying at an LGBTQ+-friendly place right in the middle means you can just walk around, find local spots, and meet people in the queer community. This location puts you exactly where you want to be.

We selected this BnB based on the reviews, but didn’t realize it now has new owners. No more fresh breakfast or a couple on-site. The benefits of a BnB make up for lack of privacy or sharing a bathroom, but in this case the benefits were not felt so we should have just stayed at a hotel. We enjoyed the cheese and grapes, but not the cold eggs and Costco croissant, and there is no one around during breakfast or in the evening in case you need something. Often the coffee machine needed a refill, or breakfast items ran out, and no one was around to help. It really felt more like a hostel or rooming house. Also, there were lots of ants. The fridge in our room had leftover chicken that seemed to have been there for a while. What really left a bad taste was when we asked to leave our luggage in storage after checking out - we texted the number provided and got no response, and there was no one around to ask. Finally by email we were told that we could leave our luggage until 2pm, but after that we would have to pay as a “late check out.” Our train was at 5pm so we just used private luggage storage. Most accommodations would allow for luggage storage until a guest’s train leaves. We ran into the new owner by accident and he seemed nice, so we hope these are just the challenges of a new business and will be resolved.
New management that retains the magnificent charm and exemplary service we've come to expect. A go-to in Montreal.
We loved our stay at Maison Des Jardins! Alex & Paulina are wonderful hosts-- the food set up for breakfast is self-serve and extensive. The hot tub was lovely. The garden and neighborhood are really nice. Most important, it was quiet. I can't wait to visit again.
We had a perfect weekend! The new owners are incredibly welcoming. The location is ideal in the Village, just far enough away to be peaceful. The rooftop terrace is really lovely.
