About this place Pumpjack Pub

Pumpjack Pub at 1167 Davie Street is Vancouver's leather and bear bar — a Davie Village institution that has been serving this community for decades with the unpretentious directness that characterises the best bars in this tradition. The venue is a straightforward bar format: pool tables, darts, a jukebox, bar seating, and a back area that accommodates the community's specific social culture. The crowd skews older and more community-embedded than the nightclub venues; regulars have been coming for years and the social character of the bar reflects that accumulated history. Pumpjack hosts regular leather and bear events — fundraisers, themed nights, community gatherings — that make it the social hub of Vancouver's leather scene throughout the year. For visitors from the leather and bear communities who want to connect with their counterparts in Vancouver, Pumpjack is the natural starting point: the staff know the community and the community knows the bar.

Brother if only you knew, brother. This one takes you on the tide, am I caught in a rip? Na g you chillin wade it out, throw the hand up and enjoy yourself. Only hospitality and friendship heeds thy, and consistency comes through to the core. All I know is that my life after this was scrolling and determinism to find my way back, 18,000km no stress. Hell yeah, fan boy within, fanboy without.x

Can you please turn down music? It’s doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want on pride week. If you want to be respected or recognized as "they", you shouldn't bother residence around who actually bothered and annoyed with loud music all morning to midnight. Please don't make other hate because of your music issue. For every living this neighborhoods has been bothered by them for every week, let’s make the rate low so the owner notice our voice. Respect neighbors. Your act doesn’t make sense, you wanna show “who you are” and partying like this will make you like not fit in the social criticized.

Bartender was really rude to my partner and I. First time at this bar as tourists. My partner simply asked about happy hour deals (not unreasonable for a bar) the bartender was in a mood. Don’t come to work in a pissy mood and ruin it for everyone else. Won’t be back.
