I am appalled by the way me and my friends were treated last night. As a gay bar that has existed on Davie street for more than 20 years I would have expected an experienced staff and people who weren't stuck in the past with misogynistic and transphobic idealogy. This was my first time going to this establishment, I can't say I will ever return. Their staff don't have your safety as any intrest and are extremely lucky that no one got hurt last night. My friends drink got spiked by a man there, their drink tasted bitter and luckily they didn't have more than a few sips before realizing something was wrong. Upon alerting staff that our friend was drugged. Blatantly telling the manager on staff that he was drugged he refused to believe that and instead believed that he was intoxicated when he had had 4 drinks in total all from the bar in a span of over 6 hours. Something which they should know from having a liquor license isn't enough for someone to be intoxicated. They then proceeded to kick us out risking us sue-ing them and losing their liqour license under the duty of care act which was established in 1973, something everyone who takes their serving it right (which is required by law to serve alcohol in BC) should be very familiar with. They are lucky our friend wasnt hurt and we won't be pressing charges. The bartenders seemed drunk or under the influence of something. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN OR HAVEN'T HAD YOUR GENDER MARKER CHANGED ON YOUR ID DO NOT COME HERE. We were also told by multiple patrons that "women aren't allowed here." we were all trans men. Pump jack isn't living in 2025 with the way they run their establishment and the way they allow their patrons to treat people. If for whatever reason you decide to go here don't leave your drink unattended for a second, or you can be in danger of getting raped especially if you aren't in a group.

PJs isn't just a pub. It's a place people come together to be social, connect during the day, and party at night. They've been supporting the gay and kink community since 2000, creating a safe place for people to be themselves. Hosting multiple events throughout the year, and regular community events, its the only bar I've ever felt safe and comfortable. Multiple gay and kink communities are still together because they volunteer their space. Their entire staff have been nothing but supportive and fun, in situations that I'm sure can be hard to navigate. Highly recommended, and much love for them.

Worst gay bar in the world. Dark vibe with rude bar staff and owners. Avoid at all cost. Go down the street to the Fountainhead oub instead.

I was at this pub earlier today. I was there with friends visiting from out of town. Big mistake, not a good sport bar, not a good reputation for Vancouver's downtown business. Its all about the sanitation and the BARTENDER!!! The bartender either hates his job or according to my friend simply prejudices. Without mentioning the name, the bartender made pattorns feel like they are dumb and oblivious. To give him the befit of the doubt maybe it's a misunderstand or a cultural thing as the bartender have an Australian like accent but I thought I should write this honest review as he earned it today. Today my guest humiliated in the first five minutes. We left 15 minutes later as we need time to figure out what just happened, the audusty in this experience, he expected a tip. I wish I didn't leave a tip.

This is one of the friendliest bars I've been to with lots of smiling faces on both sides of the bar and some entertaining shows on stage. Always visit when I'm in town and Sunday arvo is particularly fun.

Nothing but old men tired men sitting around drinking. Staff is good eye candy though, but the Manager is a horrible guy with attitude for days. Save your money and if your wanting a " real leather bar " experince go to the Eagle in S.F. or.Palm Springs.

The perfect place to stop off for a few cold beers on a hot day in Vancouver. In the heart of the gay village it is a the perfect place to refuel mid afternoon and people watch. The staff were friendly and the clientele was mixed.

The bartenders were charging different prices for the drinks (watered down it seemed) at different tills.. one person of unknown identity full on did not know the first thing about consent pawing at me..when the bartender saw me refuse said person I was charged another 1.50 of top of the price of my last drink that was exactly the same from the same bartender. Also...dropped my phone, walked 30 feet realized my phone was gone..some dude had it in his pocket and lied about it until I challenged him. Thank you to the baby boomer couple that pointed him out to me they were totally the coolest thing about the place...not the Sunday night drag show that I survived 3.2 numbers of before I just ran out of there. When I tried to call the manager got the run around...I remember when this bar was packed and full of pride and compassion along with equality ..what went wrong? Everything..(.) This is not my bar, if you decide to go...check your pockets, before you leave. You can play spin the wheel with the cash register with your server.
