About this place Frente por los Derechos Igualitarios (FDI)
The Frente por los Derechos Igualitarios (FDI) is a coalition of Costa Rican LGBTIQ+ organisations and activists founded in 2013 and based in San José. It records rights violations, runs advocacy campaigns and speaks for the community with government and public institutions. It played a part in the push that led to same-sex marriage becoming legal in Costa Rica in 2020.
It is an advocacy body, not a service centre or venue, and has no public drop-in address. Contact it through its social media channels.
