The Elmwood

We had a one-night stay. Very quiet with comfortable bed. Nice sized TV. Convenient location.

Stopped here on a loooong road trip to Nova Scotia, and was joyously surprised by the accommodations and the service. We were concerned we'd be arriving late so we called in advance and spoke with Barbara, who was just so kind and assured us that she worked all night and she'd be there to greet us and get us into our room when we arrived. She helped us find a location to store our bicycles (which had been on the back of the car) and got us into our rooms. Exceedingly helpful and kind person. The room itself was extremely clean and a great quality; quiet refrigerator, quiet AC/heater, steamy shower stall, working television, great lighting, plenty of charging cables everywhere. The next morning we met Phoenix, the daytime front desk representative, who was just as kind and accommodating as Barbara had been the night before. Couldn't believe how great the coffee was, too. Absolutely loved this spot, and we will definitely return next time we're staying in this part of Maine.

We really enjoyed our room. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than we anticipated. Thanks so much!

Location. That's it. Otherwise, like a motel 6. Not worth the money.

We arrived late and as a frequent traveler, I can attest that it was the smoothest check-in I’ve ever experienced. We stayed for a night and my husband and I had the best sleep! No lie, it’s hard to get those these days, especially in a hotel. The rooms were straightforward, updated bathrooms, and it’s dog friendly. They offer continental breakfast and the staff were accommodating. Next time we head this way again, definitely going to stay here again!

The service here was excellent!!! The location is a bit odd - right near the highway and on the main road. Perfect for a stopover (which we did) but not sure I would stay here much longer. Room was clean and spacious!

Very nice motel. The rooms are very modern, clean, and fresh. The beds are super comfy, and the shower is lovely, replete with nice shampoo and conditioner. The staff are very friendly, and the coffee (Carabassett Coffee Company) is excellent! Would definitely stay here again

The Elwood definitely exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, newly remodeled and quiet add in that it is conveniently located right off the expressway and you have a winner. We came in late and the office was closed but when we rang the bell we were promptly greeted by a friendly guy who checked me in quickly. We didn’t try breakfast as we had to get on the road but I would definitely recommend the Elwood for a quick overnight stay or a few days.

Awesome place to lay your tired head. Up-to-date everything. Staff is personable and friendly with a professional attitude. Thank to the cleaning staff, I never got her name. Would return and recommend.

Update: we found three dead cockroaches in our room. This is a good location at a reasonable price. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were friendly. The rooms have been updated, though they do show wear and tear. Unfortunately, I found several strands of hair on the sheets, and the bedding appeared to be put on inside out, which made me question whether fresh linens had been used… The best way to describe it is that the experience matches the price point.
