This hotel is an absolute gem! It’s beautiful, comfortable, and chic. The staff is delightful - shout out to the front desk and the restaurant manager! The food is delicious - from fluffy omelettes and fresh Maine berries at breakfast to innovative sous vide octopus at dinner. I am genuinely fond of this hotel and I hope to have many occasions to return!

Great 2 night stay, very accommodating of our 2 Jack Russell Terriers. The room was comfortable, well designed, and impeccably clean. All the hotel staff we spoke with, from the front desk to the cleaning team were friendly and always available to answer any questions/ requests. We will definitely stay here again when in the Waterville area. Thank you, Lockwood Hotel!

The Lockwood is located downtown on Main Street next to the Waterville Opera House with easy access. Rooms and service are excellent. Free parking is just across the street. Staff were very helpful. The restaurant is okay and does require reservations most nights. Fortunately, the many restaurants of downtown Waterville are within walking distance. There are numerous foot paths along the riverfront and the Two-penny bridge is a block away.

The rooms are poorly designed. I shouldn’t have to move furniture to access an outlet at the bedside. The desk is directly under the tv so you can’t watch tv while working at the desk. The couch does not face the tv. The shower does not have much shelving space if you are one who brings their own shampoo, body wash, etc. The ice machine does not make enough ice to fill an ice bucket. The on site restaurant does not offer room service. When people in the room next to you make any noise it sounds like it’s coming from your room. The worst thing is when you lock your deadbolt, housekeeping can still access your room. It made me feel like I was not safe in my room. The deadbolt issue and the noise were the main reason for the negative review. The room was very clean.
