Gunnison Beach
Visitors frequently praise Gunnison Beach for its friendly community and the peaceful atmosphere, with some describing it as a "second home." However, a common complaint is the removal of a boardwalk, making it more difficult to access the beach with belongings.

Great all around - take what you need and clean up after yourself . Be mindful of pics too don’t take any on the beach.
I wouldn’t consider myself an expert beaches, but I have visited several around the world including Miami Beach (Sunny Isles), St. Barths, Hedonism 2 in Jamaica, and one near Nice, France. They are all distinctly different and each one has its own vibe. This review is for those who like to be around naked people at the beach. Gunnison sets itself apart from these others in several ways. First, it consistently has more people. That doesn’t mean it’s crowded necessarily, it just means you have to get there earlier to get a good spot and you have a lot more people to observe. The beach also has really good facilities relative to the others, including a nice snack bar (that even serves lobster rolls), good restrooms, and a small shop to rent beach chairs and buy towels. There is also a great view on clear days of the Manhattan skyline. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, there is a cart path over the sand out about halfway to the lengthy walk to the beach, which makes it a lot easier, especially if you have a cart (which is recommended). The beach population largely reflects society as a whole, with mostly average to overweight people, so don’t feel self conscious if you are hesitant to visit for the first time. Everybody minds their own business and I’ve never witnessed any bad behavior on a nude beach. The experience is actually very freeing because every body type is accepted. Gunnison is a perfect spot to blend in to the crowd.
Omg this place is paradise, people friendly, my 2nd home ❣️
One of my favorite beaches in NJ. Water isn't bad, but the community at Gunnison plus how well Sandy Hook in general is run by the Park Rangers makes this an incredible daycation. Spectacular views after about 10 mins of walking from the parking lot
