This place has a GREAT happy hour and the service and staff are fantastic!

Went on Father’s Day for brunch with my family and had the worst experience at a restaurant. Cold food and no service.

Terrible experience! I will never go back to Brickwall. My fiancé and I were seated in a corner section away from the main dining room, which seemed nice since we were by the window but we were completely forgotten. We didn’t even receive water at the table or service at all. Everyone around us were receiving service but none of the servers even looked our direction. I feel in part that it was discriminatory. We waited about 20 minutes before we decided to leave. Horrendous service do not recommend!

Great vibes awesome breakfast

My son had his rehearsal dinner in the semi-private space, The Nook, at Homesick, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was fantastic, the space was beautiful, and the entire evening came together so seamlessly because of the team’s care and professionalism. Everyone was so accommodating, attentive, and easy to work with throughout the planning process and during the event itself. It meant so much to our family to be able to truly relax and enjoy the evening knowing everything was being handled so thoughtfully. We are incredibly grateful for such a special and memorable experience.

We went for Happy Hour two weeks ago and Niko was delightful. He was bouncing between tending to the bar and serving guests in the dining room. Niko was upbeat and friendly. We will miss Homesick and the team.

My meal from start to finish was amazing, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Their mixed green salad was probably one of the best salads I’ve had, the burger was just straight fire and to top it all off, I love the Apple cake it was such a good way to end the meal! Love it here and will definitely be coming back!

Let me be upfront: the vanilla meringue cake was the reason I came to Homesick. Every year, my annual trip to Asbury Park had one non-negotiable stop; your table, your cake. It was a ritual. It was sacred. So you can imagine my devastation when I sat down this year, scanned the menu with the giddy anticipation of someone who has been thinking about a dessert for 365 days, and found… nothing. Gone. The vanilla meringue cake had vanished like it never existed. I’ve heard whispers that the chef was less than thrilled to make it and couldn’t wait to see it go. And to that I say: Chef, with the utmost respect — that cake brought people to your door. That cake had loyalists. That cake had ME. The rest of the experience was lovely, as it always is. Homesick is a special place and the team is warm and wonderful. But I’d be doing you a disservice by pretending my heart wasn’t broken. I will return the moment that meringue is back on the menu. Until then, Homesick, I’m afraid we have to part ways. It’s not you. It’s the cake. I am, truly, cakesick.

I love Homesick. Fabulous food and fabulous live music. We saw the Wright Trio there. The service is great too. And great wine selection. My Salmon Puttanesca was very yummy. As was the salmon with risotto.
