Extremely disappointing experience. I was already a member and stopped in to ask a simple question about the value of the membership compared to paying per visit. The front desk employee, Duane, was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unwilling to answer basic questions. What made the situation worse was that after I mentioned I live in Buckhead, his entire demeanor changed and I was made to feel completely unwelcome. The way I was treated felt biased and discriminatory, and it was honestly one of the most uncomfortable customer service interactions I’ve had in Atlanta. Because of this experience, I am canceling my membership immediately and will never return. I’ve also shared this experience with several friends who used to frequent this business, and they’ve decided not to come back either. Customer service should treat every paying customer with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
I came to this place with a friend after receiving a recommendation, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, two staff members, one Black man and another with gray hair gave us looks that made us feel extremely uncomfortable. There was no greeting or explanation, just side glances that immediately created an unwelcoming atmosphere. When I tried to understand how the prices worked, I asked a simple question and received a very rude response. The staff member answered with attitude, saying, “The prices are there, don’t you see?” instead of offering basic customer service. Because of how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt, we decided to leave without staying. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, we constantly ask for acceptance, respect, and inclusion. It’s disappointing to experience the opposite within our own community, where those values should be upheld the most. Whether intentional or not, the treatment made us feel judged and unwelcome, possibly because we are latinos. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this place at all.
They raised the entrance fee. Now only old people will go. I decided not to go for now. In any case, if I do go, it will be half as often.
Went to Flex for the first time while on vacation recently. The facility was clean, and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and respectful. It was comforting to see staff members regularly cleaning in all areas throughout my time there.
I had the pleasure of visiting FLEX Atlanta on the 13th of September for my very first time. I’ve been to many other clubs/ spas in California , Nevada , Texas and Chicago and have had some of the most incredible times at them all and they all had their “ bad “ day like every business. But I don’t rate a business because of a bad day I do so on how they handle the issues to correct any problems. Also the full volume of my ratings are based on several different factors and criteria depending on if it’s a club, lounge, bar, restaurant and of course my favorite place to be… the spa. Now I can’t do a truly complete rating from just one visit. I need to visit a facility at least three times in order to give a more accurate rating so I will return in another week or two so I can experience other members of the staff / team members for the most accurate and honest opinion, suggestions and ratings for both management and clients. So at this point I can only give a preliminary rating on my next post. LG
