The Ellis Inn

LOVE LOVE LOVE! My husband and I took part of our honeymoon here and absolutely loved it! The house itself is beautiful and like a mansion. We stayed in the Brick Room which was super comfy and cozy. The bathroom was spotless and clean. The bed was comfy. Every room was so unique and beautiful. We definitely enjoyed the big room with the pool table and bar. Paula and Tim were very welcoming and accommodating . The breakfast was DELICIOUS and very filling to start the day. If you were unsure on what to do with your day, Paula would give ideas on where to visit and what to see which helped us enjoy our stay more!

What a hidden treasure in Colchester. From the hosts to the room to the grounds absolutely impecable. Highly recommended.

We only stayed 1 night but it was one of the best and I mean best stays !!! Host are very friendly courteous and welcoming . Property is beautiful and inviting from the moment you step in. The Breakfest was amazing and tasteful .. Our room the GREY room with a balcony beautiful view and comfy. Wish we could have stayed longer ! They are wonderful people parking no problem . Never been to a bed and breakfast before, but this place exceeded expectations! Tim and Paula are very sweet and personable. We had a great time playing pool, enjoying beers on tap and putzing around the grounds. We stayed in the Blue room and it was beautiful! Better than any hotel we’ve ever stayed in, with a large bathroom and extra long tub! Loved our stay, and would love to come back any season!

Hands down the BEST B&B we have ever stayed in! The owners are top notch and we truly felt like welcomed family. We only stayed one night but wishing we could have stayed much longer. The inn is gorgeous, very well kept and decorated, the rooms were so beautiful, cozy, and the beds were so comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and homemade! If we are back in the area will be staying here!

This place is truly perfect. The owners were warm and inviting, the inn itself is almost “movie like” in that the history of the home, the furnishings, the environment seems like it’s right out of a Hallmark movie. The rooms are comfortable, like home. The breakfast was delicious. Everything, I mean everything, was perfect. Our only regret was that we didn’t book our stay for a longer period.

The Ellis Inn is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway! Gracious and welcoming hosts cater to your needs with an easy going expertise. The plated breakfasts are home cooked and truly wonderful! Enjoy the lovely grounds, the game room, bar, billiards room and great room. A destination that should not be missed.

My mom and I had such a wonderful week at The Ellis Inn! Paula, Tim, Jessica, and Trevor were so kind and really made this a special place. The Inn is a large house with historical charm and modern conveniences. We had a great time exploring the nearby city of Burlington and we also enjoyed relaxing at the Inn in the large common living room and the private balcony off of our room. We really enjoyed meeting the other guests during breakfast and we hope to visit the Ellis Inn again!

We give this Inn 5 stars all around. Our hosts were friendly and warm, we felt at ease as soon as we arrived. The house and grounds are gorgeous. There are many beautiful places to hang out, read, or swim in the large outdoor pool. Homemade breakfast was included and delicious!!! We will definitely come back.

What can I say but WOW! The Ellis Inn is just incredible. The house is amazing and kept in such good shape. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was great. Tim, Paula, Trevor and Jessica are so friendly and accommodating. We had the luxury of having all 4 rooms for our family and it was just like a home away from home. Breakfasts were so delicious and more than we could eat at times. If you need a Bed and Breakfast look no further than the Ellis Inn. I hope to go back and enjoy it in the fall sometime when the leaves are at their full color. Thank you for making our stay so amazing.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Ellis Inn. The property is beautiful inside and out. There is exceptional attention to detail. Tim and Paula are friendly and eager to meet their guests needs. The breakfast is phenomenal. I highly recommend this inn to anyone looking for accommodations in the Burlington/Lake Champlain area! You absolutely will not be disappointed!

The best! Stayed for a couple days and had an amazing experience. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and the same can be said about the property. The owners are extremely nice, interesting, and helpful showing you things to do in the area. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast or just a place to stay, look no further and see what a well run family business looks like.
