The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village
Visitors frequently praise the beautiful location on the marina, spacious suites with great views, and the convenience of on-site restaurants and bars. However, a common complaint is about the poor and slow Wi-Fi, with some guests also experiencing issues with unprofessional or unorganized restaurant staff.

Grant went out of his way to make our stay amazing. My wife was celebrating her 30th Birthday. Grant did so many different things to make our stay memorable. Little gifts, thoughtful gestures, a great room. My wife loved it. Thank you Grant for going above and beyond. Everything was perfect.
Luxurious hotel, picturesque views, clean rooms, & friendly staff. A definite repeat!
Great place to stay super clean, great restaurants and bars on property
I am incredibly disappointed with how this situation was handled by the staff. I recently lost my Costa sunglasses while visiting the hotel and went to the front desk to inquire whether they had been turned in. The employee I spoke with immediately stated that someone had turned in a pair of sunglasses the previous night that matched my description. I showed her a photo of my sunglasses which have distinctive green lenses and she indicated that they matched the pair that had been found. Great! She then radioed security to retrieve them. After waiting for quite some time, security returned and explained that they could not locate the sunglasses but were confident they were somewhere on the property. They took my phone number and assured me that Kara, the manager, would contact me. While waiting, I overheard part of a conversation between the front desk employee and security. The employee mentioned that she had placed the sunglasses on the counter the previous night so security could collect them. She also commented that when the sunglasses were turned in, she thought they were “so cute.” When I followed up and called Kara the following day, I was told a completely different story. She stated that the sunglasses found were actually an all-black pair of men’s sunglasses and were never mine. This explanation directly contradicted what I had been told the night before (by the person they were turned in to). It is difficult to reconcile how an employee could initially confirm that the sunglasses matched my description and even comment on how “cute” they were, only for the story to later change entirely. The inconsistent information and lack of accountability are extremely frustrating. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the conflicting explanations have left me with little confidence in how this matter was handled. The entire experience has left me feeling that my property was not properly safeguarded once it was turned in. Someone did the right thing and turned them in and then what? What else is happening with guests items left behind? I expected better communication, professionalism, and honesty from a 4 star hotel.
