Oh my gosh! Darnell made me the Best Bloody Mary’s I’ve had in CLT! Sunday brunch deals are amazing. Food delicious. Will most definitely be back again.

I joined brunch today, and Darnell was absolutely amazing very attentive to all of his guests, including myself and my party. It was the best experience I’ve ever had.

Darnell was absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down, he carried himself with a level of professionalism that instantly set the tone for a great experience. He checked in on our table consistently not out of routine, but with genuine care and intention. Every detail mattered to him, and it showed in the way he anticipated our needs, made sure we were comfortable, and kept the energy warm and welcoming throughout our visit. His service was thoughtful, attentive, and truly above and beyond. State of Confusion is lucky to have someone who represents them with such excellence.

I wasn't confused about my order because I already knew I wanted the Parilla Steak & Shrimp with a Hibiscus Mule on the side. My 10oz Ribeye was cooked to a medium temp. Tender to the bite but the tongue needed more flavor. The 6 shrimp were buttery seasoned and grilled. The confusion potatoes were the best thing on the plate. The small bites of sweet potatoes mixed with the rest of the potatoes were succulent. I swapped the salad for asparagus. The bite was crispy, lightly salted....which is perfect. I used the sweet potatoes crisps as my added appetizers. As for the hibiscus mule, this was the perfect blend of fris vodka, hibiscus, ginger and lime juice. It was shockingly good. All the ingredients held their own weight. I can't wait to try other items.

So amazing and underrated! I definitely recommend the jambalaya 10/10. Also my host and server was so nice. One of them named imani made sure i got everything i needed without me having to ask. Definitely recommending this place
