I love spark social. they are all so great and deserve to be compensated handsomely for their excellent services, particularly Nick and Chad. The coffee? Served until 10 pm. It’s a grad student’s paradise, or an espresso martini lover’s dream. the paninis? to die (sorry, unalive) for. I also love the non alcoholic menu.
Nick the bartender was phenomenal he had great recommendations and was quick with service
John and Nick were wonderful servers and I love the atmospheric lighting🤭 stay fab!
Such a relaxing way to spend a nice afternoon. The outside courtyard is a try vibe. Don't be shocked if you see young professionals hard at work on their laptops while enjoying the sun 🌞
I really wanted to love this place and was most excited to visit here, but the service felt shockingly stiff to me. I came by myself at 2:30pm on a Saturday when it was slow, so I was hopeful for some conversation with the staff that I read was so welcoming here, but my attempts to chat were shut down while I ordered my drink (which was a very transactional experience, maybe because the tip is included in the price - I personally don’t care because I would have tipped anyway since I always do). But I just felt like I was a bother outside of ordering and paying for my drink, so I just left the bar and had a seat inside. Comfy and casual interior. I appreciated their wall art from local LGBTQ artists. Lots of seating and even a covered patio in the back which was a blessing on that rainy day, and at least the drink was good, but I just felt like the experience was rather soiled for me. Really hoped for the friendly and welcoming service that I read about in other reviews. Maybe the bar service was just different that day because they had other staff helping arrange a cookout for Black Pride in the patio which I thought was cool, but I didn’t come hungry so didn’t partake in that.
Small bar with DC pricey drinks. Non-alcoholic start at $8, alcoholic $14.
