We stayed at Maison Dupont this past weekend and absolutely fell in love. It is a great location and loved the "no contact" style of stay. We stayed in room 2B and were originally worried that the room would be too small but it was more than enough room for 2. We kept joking that we wanted to move in! The building is beautiful and in a great location with great restaurants, bars, and nightlife in walking distance. Loved the new and old feel of the building and everything seemed clean and fresh for us when we arrived. They even had delicious pastries waiting for us upon arrival! Overall a great experience and we will definitely be staying again!

This is a ghost hotel - no staff on premises. It’s not a problem til you have a problem- in my room there was a ceiling pot-light above the bed that didn’t turn off so it was impossible to sleep. I messaged the host 3 times and got one response and zero action. Super frustrating- i wont be returning.

Really neat historic building in a great area. We stayed on the fourth floor suite and we enjoyed our stay. Price is fantastic for the location. 1-2 miles away from most DC attractions. Communication with the host was easy and quick. Parking was easy to book ahead of time for the garage across the street. We will be staying again.

Small but beautiful room, fully equipped and very comfortable. Clean, perfect for a few quiet days in DC. No issues whatsoever, would return!

Long story short: nice enough hotel and room, but there were some annoying aspects about my stay. I will not be staying here again. I don't normally like to leave reviews, much less bad ones, but my experience at this hotel was a bit frustrating. First, the good - the room was clean, cute, and perfect for couples wanting to spend a few days in DuPont circle. The room is furnished nicely with a modern design. The hotel also has keypad locks to get into the building and into the room, which I appreciated. Now, onto the negative - the hotel had a couple comfort problems. The primary one being the toilet. The toilet didn't flush properly about 70% of the time, and my partner and I had to reach into the back reservoir to fix it if we wanted it to stop draining water. Secondly, there was a high-pitched alarm that went off from the building's fire suppression control system that could easily be heard from our room. The first time this alarm went off, I notified the hotel management, and they apologised, and told me how to silence the alarm. Upon silencing the alarm, they offered me a credit for my trouble. This alarm went off again a bit past midnight the second time it happened, which annoying to wake up to and fix in the middle of the night. The remaining problems are insignificant enough to be overlooked. Returning to the promise of a credit - I'd accepted their offer, but never received any refund on my card. After reminding them about it, they told me they'd credit my card, but I still haven't credited me for my stay. I wouldn't normally care about this sort of thing, but since they promised me they'd credit my stay and haven't multiple times, I'm rather annoyed by this behaviour. If I end up being credited properly, I'll consider updating my review and increasing the rating.

What a cutie hotel. I like that it’s private and feels like home. When we arrived our room door didn’t work which worried us as there’s no staff. But we called the number provided and they answered immediately, it was late. They upgraded our room and had us in it in less than 2min. It was pretty cold as they were not prepared for anyone to use it but the heater had it warm within the hour. We felt right at home and slept sooooooo good. What a cozy bed. 😍. We found parking on the street right out front for free overnight and woke up early at 7am to pay the meter. $4. But there’s also a parking garage across the street. Street parking was just easier for us. We loved our stay and will for sure stay again in the future.

Definitely a great location. We lived across the street for years and stayed here for a couple nights before moving to CA. The Dupont Circle neighborhood with its restaurants, cafes, stores, and nightlife is the best in DC. Tatte Cafe is next door, as are a number of different restaurants. The burgers at the dive sports bar Madhatter are to die for. City Tap House is more upscale and expensive but still good. Head north of the circle on Connecticut for American fare at Kramers Cafe, west on P Street to Sampani for Thai or Bagels Etc for the best bagels in DC, or hit the 17th Street corridor b/n P Street and R Street, DC’s traditional gay neighborhood. Easy walking distance to the old colonial port town of Georgetown. The price here is amazing for DC. If you just want a place to lay your head, stay here. The rooms are comfortable but small, but there is no public space to sit it. And its a little rough around edges despite being newly created. Our flusher on the toilet barely worked, and the plunger on the sink did not work, for example. In room 4B. The only drawbacks. The washers and dryers on the first and other floors are great for extended visits.
