Sojourn at DuPont Place
Visitors frequently praise Sojourn at DuPont Place for its unbeatable location in a vibrant neighborhood with many dining and shopping options. However, several guests found the rooms to be smaller and plainer than depicted in photos, and some experienced significant noise from street traffic and garbage trucks.

I stayed here for a multi-day conference and the room was perfect for that - in addition to all the basics, it had a fridge, microwave, & some dishes to use. The Roku TV is already logged into Netflix & Hulu, and you can login to other apps yourself. You don't see anyone in person, but they were very responsive via text....until I informed them that the front door wasn't latching unless it was pushed shut (which nobody else in the building seemed to do, so I found it ajar every time I entered or exited). They said they'd contact Maintenance and asked for photos & videos of the door, which I provided....and then they ghosted me for the entire rest of my stay (3 more nights). I get that they might not be able to get it fixed right away, but give a girl a status update! Or (as I suggested in one of my unanswered texts) put a sign up asking guests to make sure the door shuts completely! So, -1 star for the 3-day door issue and -1 star for getting totally ghosted.
A flawless experience from check-in to check-out.
Me and a group of my friends were in town for a conference and decided to stay at DuPont Place for its price and accessibility to the conference center. The room was clean and communication between the hosts was consistent. My only issue was the noise from the streets, but this is to be expected being in a city, and not a dealbreaker. I would definitely stay again.
Don't have overly high expectations. The location is fantastic (25-minute walk to the White House). The rest is mediocre. Cleanliness and the appearance of the rooms are average, and no one will be there to assist you with check-in and check-out.
This was my first stay at The Sojourn from 6/30 - 7/2. It was MARVELOUS! An entire apartment to myself with private entry, and what a luxurious space! I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to anyone.
A roll of the dice - many reviewers seem to have had a good time but potential guests should be aware that is no guarantee. During my stay, multiple nights were interrupted for 2-4 hours due to other guests yelling and smoking in the hallway. There is nobody from the management on site to enforce any rules or guidelines. If your fellow guests are respectful of you, you may have a good time, but if not, you are truly on your own - not worth the price of admission in my view. Also, I had a cockroach in my room. I’m updating my review to add that while management was weirdly slow to respond, they at least stand by their product and refunded me. This included them fighting with Airbnb to get Airbnb’s (ridiculous) fees refunded, which I thought was impressive. If you’re having any problems with your stay try to get Antwan from sojourn support, he was great.
