Embassy Suites Hotel at the Chevy Chase Pavilion

Good: - Great location. - Breakfast and happy hour like every other Embassy Suites. Bad: - Average rooms, with inadequate quality control (my toilet flush was broken). - My main complaint - PARKING. I stayed for 2 nights, but parked with them for just 1 night. I was told that I would be charged for just 1 night. But the final bill was for 2 nights. I called to get 1 night reversed. I was told that they will take care of it right away. 1 week has gone by and they haven't done anything. Now I am disputing through credit card. Not happy with their customer service. Pro tip: Hotel charges $35/night (including taxes) for parking, but instead you can get overnight parking in the neighboring building for <$10 on SpotHero.

When I pay a decent amount of money for a hotel I expect to be able to adjust climate controls to my comfort level during my stay. This place locks out the AC and 65 and it barely blows any cold air. The room was warm and uncomfortable all night. Don’t book here if you like it cool when you sleep. The plusses were nice location, employees were friendly enough and the continental breakfast had good omelets. But being told by a hotel chain essentially “We’ll decide what temperature is comfortable enough for you” is unacceptable.

Very disappointed in this hotel. They charged me and my family $500 for smoking even though we had young children in the room and none of us smoked. They even said that the smoking occurred after we checked out. They will not refund my $500 and I have been using Hilton faithfully for years. Time to change that. Highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay while in Washington, DC

Very disappointed with our stay at Embassy Suites Chevy Chase. The hotel appeared neglected from the moment we arrived. The lobby was dirty, and there was food left sitting in the elevator floor for days without being cleaned or mopped. Our room AC did not work properly. We reported it multiple times to the front desk before maintenance was finally sent. We were told the unit was working, yet the thermostat was set to the lowest temperature and the room remained in the high 70s, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Several advertised amenities were also disappointing. Nearby attractions and shopping that were mentioned, including the Cheesecake Factory and surrounding shops, were closed, and Chevy Chase Pavilion felt completely deserted. The pool had no towels available. We informed the front desk and were told more would be brought up, but they never arrived and we ended up having to go back to our room wet. Other concerns included broken glass at the entrance, hearing staff openly complain that work was not getting done, and not seeing security present during most of our stay. One morning around 5 AM, we returned to the hotel and had to stand outside in the dark waiting several minutes to be let back in. We also requested room towels multiple times and were repeatedly told none were available. The most disappointing part was management. After raising these concerns, we were told a partial refund would be issued. Despite following up multiple times afterward, that promise was never honored. As a travel agent, I pay close attention to guest experience because recommendations matter. Based on this stay, I would not feel comfortable recommending this property to my clients at this time. I understand every hotel can have an off day, but this felt like repeated issues with cleanliness, maintenance, communication, and follow through.

I stayed at this hotel from 5/22-5/25 and I have to say the stay was less than mediocre. The hotel only had 2 elevators one which broke down on Saturday afternoon. On the evening of the 22nd I was at the evening reception and I witnessed the cook for Willies touching the food he was about to cook with his bare hands. I complained to the manager on duty who informed me he would alert the food and beverage manager. However I witnessed him doing the same thing on the 23rd and 24th. The breakfast selection was mediocre. The steps from the lobby to the restaurant area needed cleaning. The automatic revolving door kept getting stuck so you had to push it to get in and out. The mirror in our room was literally peeling I wish I took a picture. The AC unit was very loud. The guests did not have full access to the pool as there was a swim school using it. This hotel should not be part of the Hilton chain. It's giving Motel vibes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This place has RATS, and deserves nagative stars. They refused to move our rooms or to issue a refund for RATS in our room. I came down at 3am in the morning to show them the video of the RATS in the room and they didn't do a thing. They only mentioned they were getting an exterminator. WTH. We had a 6 month old and two other small children. Very Unacceptable. I expected more Hilton. So disappointed. Watch the video.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was super spacious and clean, which made it easy to get comfortable after a long day of walking around the city. Having the free breakfast in the morning was a huge plus and saved me a lot of time. The location is super convenient, too. The only reason it is not five stars is that the elevators were a bit slow at times, but overall it was a great experience. Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Chevy Chase Pavilion

I did notbstay at the hotel but several friends did. All good. We had a private party in Willys. Good people. Good service. I also order food. It was delivered hot and tasted great. My mixed drink from the bar was superb.

Beds are super comfie, staff are so friendly, two free drinks and free breakfast were a bonus

As a 25+ year Hilton member (over 15 as daimond), I have never experienced the hidden and over charges that were not disclosed in the booking reservation like this location applied. They were unwilling to even fairly discuss the issue.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I had high hopes for this hotel, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. I arrived over an hour after check-in time and was told my room still was not ready and would take another 15 minutes. After waiting and checking back again, I was informed the room was still unavailable, but they could switch me to a different room instead. Once I entered the room, it was clear it had not been properly maintained. The key fob cover on the front door was missing, there were flies covering the bathroom ceiling, and the bathtub was peeling and rusting. I immediately asked about switching rooms, but because it was graduation weekend, I was told the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. The following morning, I reported all of these concerns to the front desk and was simply told, “Okay, I’ll let housekeeping know.” There was no apology, no concern, and no attempt to offer any reimbursement or accommodation for the condition of the room. To make matters worse, I have since tried contacting management multiple times by phone and email and have received absolutely no response. This experience was unacceptable, especially for a Hilton property. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
