Really a great restaurant. I was excited to try it after checking out the menu on the website. Spectacular effort is put into this menu. The result is something special. This is one of the most unique restaurants Ive ever been to. You can tell that there is love and heart and knowledge throughout the menu. Please try the mushrooms in foil. Do have the bean and melon salad. The bread coming out of the kitchen is fantastic. Get it however you can. Interesting dishes like the rabbit cannoli, very unique, very interesting. Make it a priority to treat yourself to a restaurant that puts the effort in. And try the baked Alaska for good measure.

Food was great. Service pretty cold and rushed. Didn’t really feel welcomed.

Very great place! The drinks are ON POINT, they do most of their drinks the good old fashion way, not many syrups. Makes for some tasty drinks. Also the staff is very friendly.

Took my wife here for date night and Mid City absolutely crushed it. The front-of-house crew knows the menu inside and out, the cocktails are balanced and pack a punch, and the vibe is loud enough to have energy without forcing you to yell across the table to have a conversation. Kitchen pacing was dialed in—plates dropped right when we were ready for them. The cooking is focused on solid technique and quality ingredients without unnecessary culinary fluff: Mushrooms in foil: Steamed and roasted in their own juices—earthy, rich, and ridiculously savory. Chicken skewer & Sweet potato fries: Skewer was charred right, juicy, and well-seasoned; fries had that crisp exterior without going limp. The Mid City Plate: The star of the table. Got the entry-level $20 cut and it is a massive, hearty portion for one guy. Knowing there are two sizes above this one—if you order the top tier, show up starving and prepare for the meat sweats. Outstanding date spot. Honest cooking, zero pretense, and great execution. We’ll be back.

Been here a few times for dinner and each time every single dish was incredible. I was worried the departure of the head chef would trigger a dip in quality but nope! New chef is absolutely holding the bar high. Can’t wait to go back.
