Came to celebrate our anniversary. I have stayed before and had a much better experience the first time, unfortunately this time the room felt very dirty and sticky, humid, things were falling apart, lights/switches not working and there was no fridge or microwave, at that price point is very disappointing. We also visited the spa which we have done in the past usually after the service they offer use of the shower, steam area. There were no talks of it this time, they just told us they would wait in the hallway which they did, underwhelmed. Will not be returning. I took pictures and they are on my phone, I am typing this from my desktop. Also did not have the water that was said to be in the room. Never received my receipt after check-out like they said I would.
The location is great. It’s super convenient and easy to walk to places. The staff was friendly and attentive. I found the rooms to be dated and small, especially for the price point. Not sure id stay there again.
My husband booked this hotel for us since we live in Indianapolis and were coming into town for a couple of days. We chose it mainly because of the location, as we were planning to see The Lion King, and he was also encouraged by the positive reviews. He paid an additional fee for an upgrade, and we stayed in room 501. Unfortunately, while the room was not dirty, it was definitely in need of updating for the price we paid. The “upgraded” view was disappointing — we were looking at brick walls and dirty windows, which was not what we expected. The biggest issue was the bed. We ended up using five extra pillows trying to get comfortable, but both of us woke up multiple times each night with severe back pain. It was easily the most uncomfortable hotel bed we have ever slept on. I brought this concern to the front desk, but was told there was nothing they could do. We were also very disappointed with the restaurant and food quality. The walls were bubbling and peeling, and the booth seats were worn and peeling as well. It is advertised as fine dining, but our experience did not match that description. On a positive note, the staff was kind and polite throughout our stay. However, overall we were extremely disappointed, especially because we were excited about this visit. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, but we wanted to share our honest experience.
Awesome and quirky hotel in the heart of downtown. I parked and was able to walk to most things I needed to get to. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly and the galleries were really neat to explore. Only issue is the shower curtain being oddly short and not of much purpose as the water escapes easily. Other than that, great experience!
