What reviewers say

Many visitors praise the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza for its stunning, well-preserved Art Deco architecture and excellent downtown location. However, a common complaint is that the rooms are outdated, showing their age with musty smells, drafts, and general wear and tear. Some guests also report issues with staff rudeness and unresolved service failures.

I have been a diamond member for over 10 years and this place has the rudest staff by far from front desk to bartender who treated me like dirt. Also I complained after checking out that I didn’t get my food and beverage credit on my bill yet they refused to credit it. Be warned - great location and lovely (but small old) accommodations.

The building itself is one of the most charmingly preserved love letters to the era of New America Art Deco. This is one of my favorite buildings I've stayed in for that alone. Go exploring - there is richly detailed history on floors three and four when those spaces are unlocked/unoccupied and a hallway of photographs, news clippings, and placards that detail the building's history. The staff were somewhat competent, and for an older hotel, it largely holds up. My only gripes: The attached The 1931 restaurant/bar has an overpriced cocktail menu and looks like it serves mediocre food, and BYOB - Bring Your Own Bed, unless the thought of sleeping on a slab of concrete appeals to you.

The rooms smell and are super musty. Wouldn't stay again.
