The Westin Cincinnati
Many visitors praise the hotel's excellent location, especially its proximity to downtown attractions and Fountain Square, and some highlight friendly and helpful staff members like Jovi. However, common complaints include issues with room maintenance, such as broken amenities and worn furnishings, and some guests experienced significant problems with overbooking leading to room reassignments.

This hotel is ROUGH! I was here for a work trip for an entire week. The only highlight is the lovely hotel bartender who was such a joy to chat with. The lowlights included: broken A/C on first arrival, rude employees in the attached coffee shop and broken espresso machine there as well, and infrequent room cleanings. The attached restaurant (McCormick) was really NOT great and was also overpriced. I think the most frustrating thing about the stay was that the housekeeping staff refused to leave enough bath towels.
Long wait time to check in
My senior citizen parents booked a room three months in advance. Me and my partner confirmed their reservation in-person the day before. My parents arrived at the hotel and were informed they’d be staying at a different hotel nowhere near downtown without any communication prior to check-in time bc the Westin was overbooked (first by 20, later by 15 rooms). Staff was extremely rude with my parents as well as with my partner and I when we called ourselves. I wouldn’t recommend you or your loved ones stay here because you probably couldn’t if you tried, and you’ll regret it if you do.
Old rundown carpet and tubs in the room. Old stale hotel air
The Westin's location is excellent! Full stop. The quality of accommodations I am (not)enjoying at the moment falls below expectations. Let me count the ways: Two drawers in the room (one in a bedside table, the other in a dresser) do not stay closed. The bedside drawer is an annoyance (it's as if the Gideon Bible it contains refuses to be silenced!). The dresser drawer, on the other hand, is a safety concern. It spontaneously opens itself into the walking path from the bathroom to the bed. I've yet to bang my shins in the dark, but I'd guess that's coming. The bath products in the shower were empty upon arrival (though they were promptly and courteously replaced--add one point for service!). A picture on the wall of the bathroom is smashed-in at one of the corners (not a big deal, but it looks shabby). And here is the piece de resistance: as I type this review, a high pitched whine is emanating from somewhere in within the wall of the room. It sounds like a low-key jet engine or a dog whistle tuned to human frequency. And, save an occasional reprieve, it is constant. I'd say this problem alone is worth a deduction of at least two stars, three stars while you're trying to sleep, and all stars if you have a headache (which this incessant whine has not yet literally caused me to have, but I've got another week at this hotel--something tells me I should buy some Tylenol).
