the Curtis Denver - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Stayed for a quick night with the wife. Used to stay at the hyatt before they jacked their prices up. This was even if nit a better experience. Staff was incredibly friendly. Rooms are everything you need. Location is fantastic. Each floor had a theme so visiting the different floors is an experience itself. Kyle made the trip even better. Thank you for that!

Loved the cool concept of the hotel but Kyle deserved a standing ovation at the front desk. He informed us our room wasn’t ready yet (understandable since we booked 5 minutes ago through a third party) gave us great recommendations of the area, how to get around, and conversation in general was superb. The hotel should be proud to have a gentleman like him.

Such an adorable stay! Cute and spunky vibe, newly renovated rooms. Super clean and great location- super walkable. Staff was fantastic and did us lots of favors. Only issue we had was finding one small bug late in our stay- we believe this was a standalone incident as we saw no others the entire 5 day trip. The elevators are currently being updated- still working but soon to be greatly improved! We also appreciated the 2nd floor working space which was perfect for some remote work needs.

The rooms are very basic, but it serves its purpose: a place to sleep. There are very few amenities yet they charge a daily “destination amenity” fee. There were many little annoyances too that added up over our stay and overall made it a frustrating experience — it’s almost impossible to get early check in, there was renovations/construction going on in the lobby, only some of the elevators work and are very slow, they have minimal on site parking, the tv in the room was very low quality the picture was blurry and the color wasn’t even correct, the walls are very thin we could hear our neighbors the entire time. Over all, it was very mediocre would not boom again.

More work less quirk. I've stayed at 20$/night rooms in Central America that were better than this place. Air conditioner was broke for 4 days couldn't stay next to my children in an adjoining room. Food was horribly under cooked. Front desk was super polite, but this garbage hotel with retro wallpaper is not worth the money. I'd rather stay on East Colfax. Straight garbage.

Came here for a long weekend. I dig the hotel. Each floor is a different theme. Front desk was awesome. Had an issue with the sink only running hot. By the time we got back, it was not an issue. Location was perfect for the things we had planned. I'd definitely stay here again.

In reality it is a 2 star hotel with mediocre service, poor amenities and not family friendly

Just another 2-star hotel that Hilton claims is a 4-star because it has elevators or some dumb “amenity” like that. The rooms are old, there is zero ventilation, the bathroom smells get into the room even hours later, it’s disgusting. The AC is clunky and you can hear the fan grinding all day and night. Not kidding. It’s maddening. A regular square fan from the 80s makes less noise. I actually asked to be moved to another room to avoid this and it was the same thing. It’s so loud you cannot hear any noise from outside or the hallway. There is no cold water! Seriously! On 90-degree weather I was expecting that. Also, The shower head leaks so you hear constant drops and the bathroom floor gets wet. Just a mess. The shower had a gross curtain that is hard to move out of the way, so it is constantly making contact with you when taking a shower. The elevators are an absolute joke. They have 3 but they have their own buttons. So what happens is everyone calls all elevators to the floor they’re in, but they take the first one. And meanwhile the people in the other elevators are forced to stop in that floor but no one gets in! It is ridiculous. The gym is nice. I appreciate that they give you water at the front desk if you ask. As opposed to other Hilton hotels where they want you to get in your knees to get shitty water in BPA bottles, even if you are a Diamond member! Everyone at the front desk has been super nice this past week I was there. The location is very good, easy to access, and near many landmarks.

I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times while on work trips in Denver. Appreciated the convenience to downtown and the friendly staff. Booked one of the corner rooms that was recently renovated for my last stay and really liked the new design theme. The welcome cookie is also a nice touch!

The AC wasn't working !! I wouldn't recommend this place if you're on vacation. If you're looking for a good quality room, this place is maybe OK if you have kids. They had a theme for kids It felt like I was in a kids' themed park or escape room type. As far as the room itself it was very crowded. The AC wasn't working. It seemed like they were going through this transition phase of the old stuff with the new, which kind of seemed run-down. They're doing construction in their garage. I told them about the a/c. They supposedly came to fix it. It worked for an hour or two then the heat came back on. So hot that my girlfriend’s hair got curly and sweaty. so I wouldn't recommend this place at all. When I brought it up for any kind of compensation for the hot room, they weren't willing to work with me. I asked about the issue with the garage and we weren’t briefed about the garage issue and they still wouldn’t reimburse us. I'm definitely going to bring this up to the Hilton as I am a Hilton Honors member.
