My friends hosted their wedding at Noble House Inn this past weekend. The venue itself was beautiful, and the owners and coordinator did an excellent job keeping the day running on schedule — that part we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience was made very uncomfortable by the owners' management style. The rules around food and alcohol are strict (no outside alcohol, no food outside the dining room), which we understood going in. However, enforcement crossed a line into confrontational territory. Guests were yelled at for having a Pepsi and a Monster energy drink, which were apparently mistaken for outside alcohol. The owners also yelled at our caterer and florists, which is deeply unprofessional. The night before the wedding, at 10 PM, we were essentially told it was time for bed — a comment directed at a group of adults in their late twenties who were just sitting in the living room watching TV. Throughout our stay, we were aware we were being monitored via cameras, and the owners would come upstairs to reprimand us even when we were fully within the rules. There was a constant, suffocating sense of surveillance. The feeling throughout was less like being a paying guest and more like being a child in someone's private home, subject to their personal preferences at any moment. For the price point, that experience falls well short of what guests should expect. The venue has real potential, but the hospitality needs significant work. I would strongly encourage couples to weigh this carefully before booking.
Noble house Inn exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with graciousness. It was one of the nicer Inns that we have stayed in. I'm one to read reviews and I was so confused with the previous review about the bedding not being clean. Not only was it clean but I believe I drove the host crazy all weekend about the linens and the pillows. We slept amazingly. You will not regret your choice staying here. Thank you for a relaxing experience.
Peaceful. Perfect location. New England vibe. Delicious breakfast. Welcoming hostess & host. Clean.
Edit response added: - Claiming the beds were clean when we could clearly see black hairs all over them is laughable. - Also claiming we used the beds, when we at best we put our stuff on top of them but there was no way we were going to use them after finding hairs all over. - Maybe it took a lot longer to heat the room, I'll give you that. But it was stone cold in that room when we came in. - We wanted never said we didn't test the water temperature in the shower. That doesn't mean it was used, only running it for a moment to see if there was any hot water. - We're not "attacking" anyone, just giving our honest review and we expected more than what we received. It'll barely put a dent in your overall review. - The no refunds for a room we were clearly unhappy with and ended up not using is a bit messed up. Even a partial refund would have been ok, but this just felt like highway robbery. Original review: Not a happy experience. Expected something much better given the reviews, but received a bed that was not clean in any stretch of the imagination, and was rock hard. Hoped for some decent heating, but the room was frighteningly cold even with the thermostat turned up. Maybe it was the time of year being what it was, but we had a meeting in town and hoped to stay overnight. Turned out we had to drive back home. Setting our money on fire would have been more entertaining.
This was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed at and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. I would absolutely choose to stay here again in the future. We were a bit rushed during checkout and didn’t get the chance to chat with the owners, but hopefully we’ll get to do that next time!
Very clean, very friendly, very nice overall. I wish I had an option for breakfast as I usually prefer gluten free, however everything was really lovely.
