Friendly service, really bad beds. Mattresses where old box springs that gave me severe back back pain that has taken several days to start to heal. The location was more remote than expected and the property was nothing like the pictures. I wasn’t going to leave a review on google and hoped they would fix the issues I told them about through private message, but instead they insisted the mattresses had box toppers, the noise could be illuminated by me turning on a fan in an already cold room. I will never understand businesses that make excuses instead of solving problems. That said I won’t support this place and will be sure to let this review show the true nature of the hosts at this “bed and breakfast” WITH NO COMMON AREAS, even though they where promised. I had hoped for outdoor seating, books, quiet at night ( I could hear there loud conversations at 1030pm or so). For the price I didn’t expect much, but honestly Motel 6 would have been far better.

This B&B is maintained to perfection, with fantastic accommodations on every front. The rooms are very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The hosts are the cherry on top. Managed by fantastic individuals, they provided local recommendations, and were just an absolute pleasure to speak with. Cannot recommend highly enough, this is your place to stay!

The best place to stay in Maine, hands down. Allow Dave to regale you with Red Sox facts over a beer. Shirley is a Saint. We'll see you guys again soon! The Masons

The owners were very genuine and welcoming and made my short stay very comfortable. I would stay again and recommend The Roost for anyone near Augusta.
