Edit: The management team responded promptly after. I really appreciate that they were willing to reach out to booking.com to make sure the refund was processed and were very apologetic. I would not recommend Boho Manor to anyone. I booked a room for the night of my wedding and my fiance is active duty military deployed in the Middle East. He notified me he won’t be back for our wedding and that I needed to cancel any of our wedding plans for the foreseeable future because of the war. Boho Manor is charging us $75 to cancel our room and not offering a refund. I wouldn’t support a business that doesn’t support those fighting for our country. Please book at the neighboring hotel, Highland Dell Lodge. We had the entire hotel blocked for our wedding guests and Herb, the owner, was so kind and communicative. He had no problem refunding our $1,000 deposit and all the guests who booked! Meanwhile, I have spent a month sending messages back and forth with Boho Manor trying to have our $75 cancellation fee refunded. Also, we would have blocked rooms for our guest at Boho Manor, however their communication is so lacking we never got a follow up and I’m so thankful we didn’t because just one room has been frustrating in an already difficult situation.
Our experience with the Boho Manor staff and website was excellent. Unfortunately, our room and the facilities did not meet our expectations. On the website everything looked nice, new, and clean. When we entered our room the first thing we noticed were all the stains on the carpet. Then it was all the spiders in the bathroom and lack of a fan to vent it. I could go on and on about the room and all the issues. It was bad. The outside spaces were nothing like the pictures on the website. Everything is worn down and dirty. Living in a rural mountain area myself, I know how hard it is to keep a property up. Had we paid $150 for the room we stayed in we wouldn't have been happy but we wouldn't be shocked at the state of the room. For $467 I expect a spotless, clean room and facilities. As nice as the website and photos are, it does seem grossly misleading. Expectations matter. When the pictures look beautiful, the rooms should be too.
Boho Manor hosted our women's retreat this year and it was fabulous! We loved the moody, luxe vibe of the hotel and the lounge. We did a full venue buyout and it was so wonderful to be able to spread out and enjoy every nook and cranny of this beautiful hotel. Yoga overlooking the Russian River was one of the highlights. We saw a blue heron skimming the water, a mommy ducky swimming with her babies, and the sunrise was magnificent. The food was divine and the staff took such good care of us. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! meals were delicious! Staff Wonderful 👍😊
Everything was amazing with the exception of the sink. It didn’t drain and when we alerted the staff, nothing was done. We lived with it because everything else was wonderful!
